I actually took the time to email management two days ago rather than leaving Google review, but got zero response so here it is According to receipt, we were served by Ruby, who was clearly in an irritated mood from the start The young man I was with, took the receipt from the machine at the end. He wasn't trying to be rude, he was just trying to give it to me. It was the receipt from the previous customer that hadn't been removed before, so a mistake. He immediately apologised, as did I! This apology was dismissed/ignored and Ruby went on to remark "don't grab the receipt, it's not helpful". This wasn't necessary and made things awkward Then the order arrived in front of us, and another polite male server asked if one of drinks needed sprinkles. We replied no thank you, with a smile, and then went to take the tray. At which point, Ruby appeared and snapped that it wasn't ready to take yet, she needed to add the milk, and "please don't take it until it is ready". No eye contact, clear irritation, and annoyance Neither of us appreciated more patronising instructions
I've never experienced this short tempered attitude before and if was embarrassing and unnecessary. I've been using Marzano's for years, I don't feel inclined to now. I spotted another staff member who I'm more familiar with sitting and eating, who is usually polite. I mentioned it to them on passing as I was so staggered by the attitude

Read moreAwful staff. I purchased a tea so that I could use their toilet facilities, the original barista told me they had just been cleaned so I couldn't use them. I said no problem, il use the public toilets at the Forum. Unfortunately they were closed. I came back to collect my tea and explain that I really needed to use the toilet facilities and it was the sole purpose I came into the cafe. The second barista ignored me but got her manager. He arrived and rudely confirmed that I could not use the toilets that I could see were perfectly fit for use. The floor was just a bit shiny from the mop. Never have I experienced these kind of people, that was refuse someone the use of toilet facilities when it is so needed. It wouldn't have been such an issue but I am type 2 diabetic and therefore need to use toilet facilities more frequent than perhaps their regular customers. I ended up popping to Pret, purchasing another tea and using the toilet facilities that were open for customers. I assume the barista at Cafe Marzano tipped...
Read more5 stars just on service alone absolute delight. I had the pleasure of being served by Ryan today who went over and above with service offering to bring my coffee to me and also bringing a glass of water without me even asking but I did know i was in desperate need of it after running in with baby in my arms and shopping in the other as the weather had taken a turn for the worst. Very attentive staff who really do look after there customers every time I've been served in here its been by the most caring and happy people. I only just grabbed my reciept with his name on it before rushing out again so hopefully I have the right person. So just wanted to say...
