I recently ordered from nandos George street through Deliveroo, and I am beyond disappointed with the service. I ordered my favorite treat—your salted caramel brownie—but it was missing from the delivery. This isn't just any brownie for me; it's my go-to indulgence, and not having it in my order was a real letdown.
On top of that, I specifically asked for peri peri salt to be provided on the side in a sachet with my chips, but my instructions were ignored. I like to add the peri peri salt myself because you tend to add too much, and this time I couldn't enjoy my chips the way I prefer. When I opened the bag to find these items missing, it really brought down my mood, reminding me of a previous negative experience with my last order from George Street.
I tried calling the restaurant multiple times to ensure my instructions were received and that nothing was missing, but no one bothered to answer the phone. I even reached out to Nandos customer service, asking them to contact the restaurant or pass along my message. Unfortunately, that request went ignored too.
To make matters worse, the chips arrived a bit cold. While I understand that some heat loss is expected with delivery, the combination of missing items and my unaddressed concerns left me feeling overwhelmed and upset. Read moreAbsolutely shocking service yesterday, I'm sure the food would have been great as usual but didnt get the chance to try it.
I fully appreciate and understand all the changes that have had to be made due to covid, but my experience yesterday was a joke.
We stood outside for over an hour and a half (the couple in front of us had been waiting there for 2 hours). We knew that we could be waiting a little while on a friday night, but there was about 6 empty tables inside which had been vacated since we had been queueing, yet no-one in the queue was allowed inside to be seated, despite staff sanitizing multiple tables more than once.
Adding to my frustration, the two staff just inside the door didnt seem to realise how big the queue was as they were too busy prioritising online orders and deliveries (about 6 people came in to collect food but no actual customers allowed in).
And to top it all off, we waited all this time, only to be told that we had to check in to the queue, the way of doing this being inside the main entrance which was obscured by the other people queuing and delivery drivers coming in to collect food. Even on one of the windows there is a list of new information about changes due to covid, yet no mention of this critical detail.
I wouldn't normally leave such a negative review but this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth and am now questioning going back to one of my favourite...

For me this was not a 5 star rating worth, it was barely 2. The staff who helped me spoke very poor english which is disappointing considering you are in an English speaking country.
I order my food through the qr code, and after 50 minutes I still haven’t received anything, so I ask a staff member and she goes to check for me, apparently they didn’t receive my order on the screen (so the qr code system is definitely not a good system), she checks my confirmation mail and she talks to someone else from the kitchen en he asked me for a confirmation email so I show him and he goes to make the food. Once I received my food I dont even check if everything was fine cuz at this point I had waited an hour for my food so obviously I was hungry. I find the chicken tasting very lemonish which is weird because I ordered bbq flavor and then I see on the little flag it says ‘lemon & herbs’ and it was also burned for a bit.
I got nothing complimentary and barely even got a sorry.
I also find it weird that you have to grab your own utensils and sauces.
Staff also barely talks to you, because you have to grab everything yourself there is almost no engagement with...
