Been to Il Pavone many times and have always had a good experience. However my experience last night has put me off wanting to go back. As the staff were inattentive. We were sat at a table and served our drinks first of all which was good. We were in for a meal as I had a itison voucher which I handed to the waiter straight away so they knew we were in for food. However, we were left for around 20mins and had to try and get the attention of one of the waitresses to be served. A waitress then came over and seemed very grumpy and said "I didn't know you hadn't been served as I couldn't see the menus". I felt like this was a bit of a redundant comment to make as regardless if you can see the menus or not you should be checking up on all the tables you are serving to check if any customers want to order anything or are enjoying their meal etc. Also during the time we spent their not one of the staff asked if the food was okay. The penne vodka pasta was nice but I would caution people not to get the garlic bread as it was two round slices of bread with butter on it you could hardly taste the garlic, I felt like I was eating toast. I think Il Pavone has went downhill unfortunately and there are far better italian restaurants in Glasgow with...

Awful service. Food is average. Not bad, but not great either. The worst is hands down the service. Was there for a special occasion i was looking forward for some time, and a waitress spillt a drink on me. Laughed it off, no apology. Did bring the replacement drink and the tissue, but didn't ask if I was okay, nor offered a discount or any other goodwill gesture for such incompetence, and lack of care, expecting us to pay not just the full price for the meal, but also the gratuities that were added to the final bill which were needless to say not deserved in the slightest. Only after prompting them and escalating it to the manager, we received a back handed apology followed by a comment that we haven't escalated to him before, implying that it's our issue and not the fact that they messed up our night, ruined my outfit which made me feel self conscious for the rest of our night that extended beyond this awful place. At the end, 10% was taken off the bill, but, its just too little too late. Will never come back and do not recommend to anyone. So many better places in...

Good starter and main course. Underwhelming dessert - lukewarm and needed improved dressing/icing. The staff were generally nice, but service was often patchy. The bill was initially off by £100 as they didn't deduct the deposits. After receiving the revised bill, a previously undeclared service charge was miraculously added so all costs had to be recalculated by the table - turning our £100 deduction into a £60 deduction. Once we were eventually re-ready to pay, the server awkwardly and laboriously verified we had met the total balance by doing the addition on a calculator on our table on front of the restaurant. We had left a small tip on top of the service charge, but in that moment I wish we hadn't simply for the embarrassment of the payment process

Moreover, a server misheard a request for 'water' as a request for 'can of Diet Coke' and servers had to regularly confer with kitchen or management on what the soup/dessert etc of the day was. Most of the servers were absolutely lovely people, but a lot of internal company communication issues made the experience far...

Wow, a fabulous recommendation saw us land at the best Italian food we’ve experienced in ages ! Perfection from our fresh bread and olives to his Pork meatball spaghetti and my pesto roast vegetable fettuccine. No food pics as we were hungry and keen but presentation was stunning. Each and every staff member was friendly and made us so welcome. A chance question to our waiter Carlos saw us armed with fabulous insider tips for our next two days visit in Glasgow. Don’t miss this local secret !

I'd say the cuisine was average. I wouldn't call it authentic. Being an Italian restaurant, the pizza was not as good as expected. I only eat or buy pizza made in a traditional clay oven. I could tell their pizza wasn't cooked in one. Saying that the service was good. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Despite the fact that the meal was subpar, it brightened our day. I would advise the owner to take a closer look at the quality and originality of their pizzas.

Lovely pizza and burger, and brilliant mocktail - I'm glad we stumbled upon this place! The only snag in the atmosphere was the staff polishing the cutlery and throwing it into the drawers (loudly) at the station right beside the tables, which created unnecessary noise. That's something that I think should be done in the back and brought all at once: we couldn't talk for 10min because of the noise of cutlery being thrown, which was a bit grating.
