Perhaps the most unfriendly experience that I’ve ever had in a Stockport pub that I’ve visited for the first time — but that doesn’t involve all of the patrons by any means. Just a bit of a pointless place to have as a pub if you don’t want the public in there. Anyway, the smoking area had a couple of interesting things in it — that was worth my pint in there… which was difficult enough to order. “Do you do Guinness”? — “No, we don’t do anything like that here” — “Well, do you do stout?” — “Yes, we do this” — “Well, can I have a taster of that, please?” — “We don’t do tasters here”....
