Nando's New Brighton — Restaurant in Wirral

Let me start with the good news for the sake of the young man who truly did his best to make sure that our time there was great, from the start until we left I give him 10/10, hardworking, professional and attended to us, gave us a warm welcome, asked about allergies when I went to order, he offered to take our food back when he noticed we weren’t eating, I mentioned I’d rather take the food away to grill at home, he was kind to give us a box. He also offered us warm plates and cutlery as they were t topped up at their station by the time we sat down, there was no serviettes either but he made sure we were ok.

On our way out he offered us a bag and 2 satchet sauces.

It was my 1st time at this beautiful Nandos, it was a quiet afternoon at the Resturant. I’m a regular at Brombrough, Liverpool One and Liverpool CBD Nandos. As a South African, I had Nandos all my life, I must say it was the 1st time the food did not meet my expectations and it was the 1st time I saw a corn without grilled marks on, the chicken had a few grilled marks, clearly it was taken out of the pouch then put on the grill for less than 3minutes. I have thing with soft chicken skin, chicken looked alive, it put me off. Maybe I should have asked them for medium grilled chicken if that’s a thing 🙄😂🙄.

My daughter is a foodie, I was shocked and sad to see her disappointment as we were looking forward to the afternoon and being lost in the music and food pretending we were in SA.We still had fun, enjoyed the music, luckily I have happy children and I teach them to always look at the positive in life. However, I was a sad one this time cos we visit Nandos when ever I miss home. I did not wanna complain and I hate when food gets taken away to b rectified, we all heard horror stories about what happens behind closed doors.

The chips were ok, rice did not taste fresh, ate it anyway as we were hungry, ordered another garlic bread cos we couldn’t eat d chicken, had to peel the skin off and the visible veins on the chicken skin then dipped it in the sauce, that did not help. Couldn’t wait to get home to have my Nandos experience there & we did.

I will visit again only the next time I will ask for the chichh my en to be grilled to perfection without visible chicken...

I have never been to Nandos in New Brighton before and I won't be rushing back again. I visited with my two grandsons before going to the pictures. I ordered a ceaser salad for £9.25, then a further £4 on top for a chicken piece, I have never ever seen such a boring salad in all my life, nothing just a small amount of lettuce, croutons with grated cheese and ceaser dressing, then my £4 chicken on top! My grandsons ordered half a chicken and two sides and butterfly chicken with two sides at £16.90 each. Again I cant say it was value for money at all but they did enjoy it. As the food was put down for us I asked the young girl were for cutlery, she told us we had to go get it ourselves even though she was not busy!! Wow what a disgusting manner to have food placed down and not the decency to hand you cutlery!! This might be how it works overall but I felt it was extremely poor service and will not be rushing back again.

However I would say there was a lovely tall young man on the till and he was very pleasant. On ordering I asked for the ceaser salad like on the sandwich board outside but he said he had not seen it, so I just ordered ceaser salad with chicken. It was a ceaser salad wrap on the board I found out later on leaving. Anyway it still would have been the same boring salad just in a wrap but may have been better value for money.

My opinion extremely hyped up and not value for money, most boring salad I have ever had...

What a joke. Visited with my two boys. Came in to an empty restaurant so no wait. Taken over to a couple of benches where there was crumbs and hair still on the seats. Given a few menus and told our table number. No other explanation of where to order or anything useful. Looked under the table to complete shock at the food and stains all over the floor, no need at all. We ordered on the app and not long after the food arrived.

The portions were absolutely crap, the chips were only just warm and the Mac n cheese sides looks like they had sat there for 3 days.

Only after we had finished were we asked if the meals were ok. I didn't say anything other than it was all pretty standard as I know my eldest son would be embarrassed if I told the young girl who didn't really care, exactly what I thought.

The place is a mess and the food on par with that of a wetherspoons but a more daft price tag.
