We ordered a mushroom and swiss value basket with onion rings and a peanut butter shake as well as a grilled chicken sandwich value basket with cheese curds and a chocolate malt. Both sandwiches were bland, I feel like cardboard would have had more flavor than these sandwiches. The cheese curds had some sort of seasoning in the breading that I didn't care for, it has been awhile since we have eaten at Culver's (because they just weren't living up to expectations, but we thought we would try them again)and I didn't remember the cheese curds having that seasoning before, so maybe they switched the recipe since I was there last, but I don't like these cheese curds they have now. The shake and malt were on the thicker side so they were really hard to drink with a straw and we were not given spoons, at least the flavor was good. The onion rings were the best, no complaints about those. So for the price you pay at Culver's, you are better off going to a better restaurant like Pounders since the cost is pretty much the same. I do not recommend the Aberdeen Culver's unless you are getting onion rings or their...
Read moreBought 4 pints of ice cream here last night and 3 of them weren't even all the way filled to the top, and none of them had much in the way of toppings. They were flavors that should have had a lot of toppings in them and they were almost entirely plain with some topping thrown into the bottom of the pint. Like the turtle cheesecake one, almost entirely vanilla. Found 2 cheesecake pieces and a small amount of caramel at the bottom only? What a rip off. Could get a whole gallon of good ice cream for the price of the pint. The pictures always show the flavor of the day with a lot of topping swirled throughout and we always get a blob of vanilla custard with a minis ulr amount of topping thrown on the top. Lazy. That is not how it is supposed to be made. Also, WHY is it so hard to get fully cooked hot cheese curds at this location? They are never hot through to the middle. Just blobs of Luke warm cheese and breading. This used to be a great place but the quality and time spent are really lacking anymore. Adding photos of what your flavor of the day is SUPPOSED...
Read moreCulver's is what one might expect when visiting a typical fast food restraunt. They offer a larger variety of options than some other fast food chains, so Culver's might be a place to try if you're looking for a bit of variety.
Their food is okay. I wasn't pleasantly surprised by them, nor was I disappointed. The quality was just about what I expected from a fast food restraunt. My husband ordered a burger and fries, and agreed that the food was just okay.
Although their menu is decently sized, they don't have many options for a vegetarian (but then again most fast food chains don't.) I was able to find something to eat, but most of their vegetarian options were deep fried. That's fine every once in a while, but I definitely won't be visiting them very often.
I did; however, enjoy their dessert menu. They have a lot of different options and they have a "flavor of the day" which I think is fun. My husband and I both enjoyed our concrete desserts. :)
If you're looking for a quick bite to eat or a decent frozen dessert, Culver's might be a good...
