For those unfamiliar, Baxter's Speakeasy is a part of a cluster of social venues, including the Hop House, Totally Baked Pizza, and the Musica in the back.

Your night could be the rare one two three four punch of a night with these venues, especially if you're looking for a generally chill vibe with the possibility of some dancing.

Baxter's Speakeasy in particular is nestled in the back of this cluster. It has a full bar, chill upstairs with vintage seating, and a great patio, but shh...this is a speak easy. Only the cool kids* are allowed in Akron's hottest spot.

A+, 10 stars, 100%…this bar is top notch! I threw my bachelorette party here and Tim, the owner, was beyond attentive, generous, and thoughtful. He planned specialty cocktails based on flavors I liked—-each drink was gorgeous and everyone kept saying so all evening. His bar crew was also incredibly kind and the service was great the entire time. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue for how beautiful it was; we loved having the second floor and the patio too—such a great spot in Akron if you ever need to host an event!!!...

Had a blast! I love a great speakeasy. They are few and fsr between. This one is uniquely Baxter. Meet the man, meet the motive, you can feel the energy and vibe this location admits! Can't be missed. The crowd is 10+. The drinks are first class bar none, and the general feel is out if this world. Couldn't ask for a better place to hang a hat. From balcony to second story chill corner to band space to a bar, Can't compete. Did I say anything about the art? Local artists and top notch issues to address all in one!...
