Update: I forgot to update my review when the owners responded to my review on Facebook. They're currently working on why this happened and how to fix it. I'm impressed that I received a response in the first place. It makes me happy knowing they have people that genuinely care about the Guests' experiences in the restaurant.
Just moved to Alamogordo a few days ago and decided to take my mother out for a nice dinner. It's now obvious that going to your restaurant was a poor choice. I regret not listening to the reviews on google.
When we arrived for dinner, our hostess said hello while drinking a blue drink WITH the straw in her mouth. After being seated, our server Bryan gave us time with our menus and got our drinks and took our order. He even got my 15 month old the cutest little cup. All was tolerable up until the point we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. No one stopped to apologize for the wait, refill our drinks, or anything else. When the food arrived, it was the manager (Melanie) who brought us our food. It was ALL cold. My daughters food included. We waited another 15 or so minutes before she came back by the table and took our food back to the kitchen. In approximately 3 minutes the fish was back on the plate and at my table. She said they made it fresh. The plates were super cold, the food wasnt much warmer and ended up tasting like it was microwaved. She proceeded to argue that the kitchen made it fresh. 10 minutes later my mom got her egg plant parmesan and once again it was burnt to the point she didnt even eat her food. We told the manager this, it still ended up on our bill but we are grateful that she took the fish off. We did not see our server again until we finally got our check. Bryan was sweet, but I didn't feel like he was our server. He said he was helping another table separate their checks.
We were there for 2 hours. Why does it take 2 hours darn near to separate checks? I've been a server before. Even if it's a huge table I still went and checked on my other tables.
It seems like y'all need to have a meeting on efficiency. And Melanie needs a class in customer service. Not once did she seem remotely interested in our experience. It seemed like she just wanted us to go away. There was nothing inviting about her demeanor.
Also, the chef was just listening to music in his headphones and he was slamming things around like he was angry. I feel like this may be part of the reason the food wasnt prepared right.
In the end all be all - I am incredibly disappointed and dont think I'll be returning...
Read moreThis place was just terrible. I sat at the bar on 4/19 and ordered the lemon rosemary chicken with bread, soup, and a beer. Right from the get go I overheard the bartenders speaking ill of other co-workers and customers and this behavior continued throughout my entire visit.
The soup came in a reasonable time but was clearly microwaved. I know this because of the hot bowl it was served to me and the fact that they were almost done making it when I ordered. It tasted ok, but could have used some salt. I didn't receive my bread yet, though.
The chicken was a major disappointment. When it arrived I could instantly tell that this was not what was advertised. I ordered a chicken breast with spinach and angel hair with vegetables. What I received was no spinach. I was told by the bartender it was sauted with the angel hair, which isn't a thing; pasta is boiled but fine. The vegetables were 50% or more mushrooms. I picked them out and the bartender commented that I should have told her I can't eat mushrooms. I told her I didn't know and she responded by saying that it was listed on the menu. I responded by saying it wasn't. She took my menu and read it in front of me and then simply commented that I was right. No apologies, no offer to refire, no discount. Nothing.
The pasta was gross and I couldn't eat more than a bite or two, just like the vegetables, after picking out the mountain of mushrooms. The chicken had to be good though, right? Wrong. It tasted ok but was so slimy I had to spit some out to look at it to see if it was raw. I did eat 3/4 of the chicken because I had to eat something. I then sat for about 10 minutes to pay bill. Remember, I'm at the bar. I nearly got up and left.
When I got my ticket, I realized I was paying over $20 for gross, microwaved food that I ate a quarter of, and awful service. The best part of my meal was the beer and bread (which I assume was not house made but that is irrelevant). I paid and left but I can assure you, I will never go back and do not intend to ever give their organization a try again. I hope it gets shut down and replaced with an olive garden or McDonald's. Anything has to be better than what I had and...
Read moreDefinitely not worth the money and will not be returning ever to this restaurant. Took my father out for Easter dinner and they forgot to bring his salad. Finally got it after flagging down server and she said she didn’t realize that it had been overlooked. Fine no problem. Then got our food....very bland and not very impressed at all. My dad ordered the 7oz steak and it was so tough that my dad couldn’t cut it, I couldn’t cut it nor could my husband cut it so I walked it up to the waitress and told her the issue. They didn’t want to cook him another one because they said the next one might not meet our standards either. So I ordered him another platter which by this time the rest of us were about done eating. My dad ended up taking it to go so I am not sure how that tasted so I cannot do a review of that. So they refunded the steak but still charged for the other platter. To make matters worse as we were leaving my dad, who is elderly and takes a minute to get up, was insulted by the waitress. She says “are you going to drive”. He says no I don’t drive and then she says “good cause you are pretty tipsy”. Implying that he was drunk or something?? Not cool and I had given her a decent tip despite the meal. Spent $100 on a meal that was maybe worth $30 all together and tried to take my dad out for a good meal for the holiday since we live 3 hours away. Needless to say it was NOT worth it. First time there after convicting my husband to bypass Chili’s and go there and will definitely be the...
