I love Pizza Hut, but this latest experience needs to be noted. Drove 11 hours from Tulsa to Alamagordo to visit grandchildren, had them over to the hotel room to have pizza and pasta, and have a good time. I ordered online, went to store and when I picked up I asked for some paper plates and plasticware. The young cashier paused and said uhm, let me see what we have...her reaction told me this was going to a problem. After 5 or 6 minutes of hearing lots of talking in the BOH, another young man strolled by and asked I had been helped, I said they are trying to find paper plates and plasticware for our pasta, he responded "oh we don't carry that because of Covid". I said excuse me, who is telling you that because you should actually be offering because of Covid, stop blaming Covid to save a buck. Can I get a refund and I will order through Papa Johns or Domino's. Which he said I need a manager for that, I said ok, i will continue to wait. By now the majority of the staff is attempting to make me feel like I am out of mind for needing some basic necessities to eat our pasta. I suggested and pointed to some small to go containers and he stated we can't use those, they cost money. I asked when is the manager coming out to get my refund, he walked to the back with no response. A lady came being nice and applogetic, (not sure if she was a manager) she offered me tops off of salad to go containers, and she did find some plastic ware. Then the young lady who initially took my payment brought my food out, I asked her - so with all the hotels on both sides of you are you all just out of plates or you don't carry them, she paused and said Im not sure, I think we are supposed to say it because of covid when we are out, but I haven't seen any for a long time". Pizza Hut - this is unacceptable and pathetic, blaming issues in your control on Covid.
P.S. please do not tell me or others to reach out to PizzaHut.com, if you can't fix the problem by reading these reviews you should not own a business that involves customer service. Stop telling dissatisfied customers to re-report a problem. Maybe the problem begins with...
Read moreWent in for a date with the lady the other day, we both just wanted a nice quiet night out without the kids. It’s been a while since we got Pizza Hut, since it’s a tad on the expensive side, and we’ve not come to this specific one since we don’t actually permanently live here in Alamogordo, but we kinda regret it.
Our server was amazing, she was very sweet and attentive. Didn’t catch her name, or I just don’t remember it, she’s a bigger lady, looks about 20, but she was great. Very friendly and even helped us save some money by making sure we got some deals which was greatly appreciated. Sucks that they don’t have fountain drinks, but that’s not her fault.
Anyway, it was nice at first, but damn near the whole time we were there we could hear the manager yelling at all the employees in the back! It wasn’t just one or two times, it was over and over. We saw her a couple of times. She’s older, got short hair. She was wearing her cap backwards. She’s the one you can’t really tell whether it’s a man or a woman til she opens her mouth. I could only make out bits and pieces of what she was yelling about, but just the yelling made me and the wife very uncomfortable. Can’t imagine how the employees felt.
Our food took forever, but they were pretty busy as far as I could tell, there was maybe one or two other tables in store but tons of people coming in and out for pick-ups. It was dry and the pasta was very small. breadsticks had bits of cheese or something on them, burnt.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the experience. I’ve worked in food service before and I’m not one to enjoy it when employees are getting berated. One time sure, but like I said it was constant. You got a mean manager the food comes out bad, in my experience. Just gets worse the worse the manager is. It’s all overpriced garbage in the first place, but man that really...
Read moreI called into this store to place an order for delivery. After spending several minutes on the phone with a lady who took my order, she then asked if I wanted anything else and I told her no. She then rudely puts me on hold and returns back on the phone to tell me that my order is only $8.78 and that the minimum order for a driver to deliver is $15. I then said forget it and told her I would order from somewhere else and hung up on herl! It's nice to know that they didn't appreciate my business as a customer and certainly didn't value me as a customer because I didn't order enough food from them to even care about what business they could have earned from me. I can't understand why they have such a greedy unethical policy like this as you always pay a delivery charge on whatever you order??? This attitude here is only dangerous and reckless as we are currently in the middle of a recession and all businesses are doing what they can to stay afloat and earn customers business! I ended up calling Domino's as they were glad to accept my business and certainly didn't impose any unethical minimum order amount on my order! I will never waste my time with this store ever again. Shame on this store! ...
