Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Alaska

This was not a pleasant experience and I'm seriously dissatisfied with the level of customer experience the manager Billy exerted.

The bartenders Tiffany and Mike were extremely personable and knowledgeable, and the kitchen staff did a great job in preparing my meal.

I ordered chicken and broccoli Alfredo and added blackened shrimp. This meal is SUPPOSED to come with a bread stick, however, they were out of bread sticks. Tiffany said they couple whip up some garlic bread for me instead. The manager actually told her she needed to charge me for the bread and I heard her tell him, what is obviously common sense, that I shouldn't be charged because my meal is SUPPOSED to come with bread and that they shouldn't charge the customer because they ran out of bread sticks. To my surprise when I get the check the extra charge for the bread is on there. I ask Tiffany to speak to her manager and she calls Billy.

He approaches me with an attitude. I tell him I'm trying to figure out why I am being charged for bread even though my meal is SUPPOSED to come with it. His very ridiculous answer was " because we ran out of bread sticks."

Wow. Really? You guys (Applebee's) run of out bread sticks, and think it's a good idea to charge your customers for the very apparent error made by your kitchen manager in failing to order adequate supplies?

My reply to Billy was "why is this my problem?" Which is an excellent straight forward question. He claims I'm being smart mouthed, and gets an even nastier attitude than he had when he first approached me. Didn't take the charge off and flipped me off under cover like a coward. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. I've never seen a restaurant manager behave in such a manner.

First off, Quade greeted me the minute I walked in. I thought I only needed a table for 4 or 5, got seated, but then found out I needed 2 more. Nitro was already bringing me waters, and asked how I was and was very friendly. I then asked if I could get a larger table because I had two more guests and he was on it! Said no problem at all! I'll get a couple more waters right away ma'am! He brought me more tableware, waters she helped me set up just a table away.

Quade even stopped by and asked if we needed helped, but I only had my bag and sweater, so was okay, but he still made sure things went good.

My friends came and we ordered. Nitro had great recommendations when asked about the food and what we could order, and while we were all ordering, the manager, Billy stopped by and asked how we were. He offered his personal recommendations and said he can add anything extra we needed.

The food came and was phenomenal! My husband was a little disappointed with the steak size, but he didn't read 8 Oz. Billy came out with another portion and made up for it, and husband was happy!

This service was the best we've received even out of the high caliber restaurants we go to often. Because of this service, I'll forgo the expensive restaurants and come here instead!

I had the pleasure of dining at Applebee's on two separate occasions, and on both visits, we were fortunate to have Ash as our server. Ash's exceptional service truly made our dining experience memorable. Her attentiveness, knowledge, and friendly demeanor were commendable, leaving us thoroughly impressed.

Not only did Ash provide us with outstanding service, but the food at Applebee's also exceeded our expectations. The flavors were delicious, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. One particular dish that left an indelible impression on our taste buds was the Chicken Wonton Taco. The combination of tender chicken and delectable wonton shells resulted in a delightful fusion of flavors that we couldn't get enough of.

Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed the chicken bone-in wings at Applebee's. The succulent meat, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, showcased the restaurant's commitment to delivering consistently satisfying dishes.

Overall, our experiences at Applebee's were nothing short of exceptional. Ash's impeccable service, combined with the consistently delicious food, made for memorable visits. We wholeheartedly recommend Applebee's to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience with excellent service.
