Plan for a perfect Alaska trip: 1. Land at ANC 2. Pick up your rental 3. Drive to IHOH and order the best hot dogs of your life 4. Do anything, you’re in Alaska, anything you do will be amazing 5. Repeat 1-3 in reverse order I don’t recall where my daughter, who’s never been to Alaska, found out about this place, but she told me I needed to go, and since it was easy to get to once I arrived in Anchorage, I decided it would be a satisfactory lunch. At first, I was confused by the location—inside a hotel that has seen better days—but I went in, found a very bright, attractive new restaurant, and an extremely enthusiastic gentleman at the counter eager to serve me. I picked 2 hot dogs—they’re big, so this is more than most people would usually eat—and a fountain soda and waited. As the food was prepared, he continued to chat with me, welcome me, and thank me for my business. The food took about 5 minutes, and it was delicious. I tried the Alaska dog and the Hawaiian, and both were outstanding. High quality ingredients, great presentation. And excellent service! So on my way out of town a week later, I made sure to return. Had to get the Alaskan again (made with reindeer), despite all the others tempting me. I added smoky fries this time, and they were great too. Different guy at the counter, but same enthusiasm and gracious customer service. If I lived in Anchorage, I would eat here every week.

My son and I were downtown, and getting hungry, so I searched for fast food near us, and IHOH popped up. I read all of the wonderful reviews, and knew that we were going to go there to eat, and I am SO GLAD that we did!! When we first walked in, we were greeted by the owner, with the nicest greeting that we’ve ever received, and then he said “Welcome Home”. I truly felt like I was a guest in his home. I explained that I’ve never been here before, and that I wanted to try it after reading the reviews. He came out from behind the counter, and explained the ingredients of the pictures to us. I ordered the Mexican, and my son ordered a reindeer hotdog with ketchup, bacon and shredded cheese. We both got the garlic cilantro fries. I also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. He offered me a sample of it before I ordered, and it was super delicious!!! Our food did not take very long to come out, and let me tell you that this was the very best hotdog that I’ve ever had!!!!! IHOH has new customers for life!!!

We have our order down. Husband and I order Frankenstein hotdogs and chili fries, but this last time a friend ordered Aloha and now I will always need those. Kiddos love chili cheese hotdogs, it isn't on the menu so we have to always make their order. I recommend a chili cheese dog added to the kids menu. It does always cost us more. I couldn't eat here as often as I want to because it's a bit pricey, but like all restaurants, it's a real treat when we do get to eat here! I only wish they had an indoor restaurant because some days are a bit windy and cold. The wind passes right through the alley gap where the tables are. Great friendly staff and delicious food! Always worth it. Craving it now that I have written this. I need to go soon!

I’d like to start off by saying that this was arguably the best experience I’ve had in terms of food, customer service, and affordability. First off, the man who took my order was not only extremely eager to assist me, but also extremely knowledgeable on the different types of hot dogs IHOH has to offer. He gave a friendly and detailed explanation about each menu item, and treated the customer with the utmost respect, providing meaningful and informative answers to my questions. When it came time to pay, two adult hot dogs, a side of fries, and a kids hot dog combo came out to less than $40. Something to note is that the fries themselves were able to feed four of us for the extremely humble price of $6 dollars. After only a few minutes of waiting, the entirety of our meal was ready. Once again, IHOH displayed their seemingly radiant hospitality as they gave us everything from napkins to ketchup before we could even think to ask. In terms of the actual hot dogs, I can say with confidence that these were some of the best hotdogs I have ever had, and believe me on this, as this review is coming from someone who grew up in New York and has had hot dogs for years. Despite never having reindeer, my cousin and I were throughly pleased to have chosen the reindeer hot dogs. Having arrived in Alaska yesterday for vacation, I am pleased to have stumbled across these people and this wonderful place. When I do decide to come back to Anchorage, I will be sure to make IHOH the first place I...

Flavored seasoned food that looks even better the pictures, the quality and the portions -- you actually get fulll off the food. I came here back in 2018 and this was one of the first places i tried. I'm so glad they have expanded and are still here. They are better food and service and experience than all these overpriced sit down places. You taste in the food hpw much they care about the food and the business. Its a shame how many places dont even salt or season the food. This place gets to your soul- hot fresh made food, seasoned and flavorful, attention to detail with warm soft toasted bun and enough condiments and accompanients for the whole hot dog. Juicy and plump meat. They think of everything They dont forget things in your order. They actually eat the food that they cook and can suggest which things to try. This is my favorite place in town. I always know what to expect and it matches my expectations perfectly. Anchorage should be proud to have a place that cares about how it treats people and that actually eats its own food and seasons and packages and preparea the food with such love and care. You know how you go to some places and the person taking the orders doesnt even eat at the place where they work or they insult their own establishment saying what they dont like and what they dont eat or you can just tell they are vegetarian serving meat and dont care? Not this place. They love what they do and it shows...
