Pros: Easily acessible with parking next door. There is a good map of the Cook Inlet panorama that allows visitors to get a better perspective of the magnitude of the view. (The mountain across the Inlet cooks 5-10 miles but it is really 67 miles away. The guide really help put things in perspective. Free! Shops and dining nearby. Cons: The exhibit is a bit dated i.e. photo faded, they still refer to Mt. McKinley as opposed to Denali which everyone in Alaska uses. This area must not be patrolled as the illegal activity was brazen to say the least. Several people wanted to proceed down the ramp but quickly turned back once they spotted what was occurring below. We were able to see Mount Denali which was 180 miles away although somewhat cloud-covered. The area around the monument was well manicured and contained some beautiful flowers and shrubs.
