Food:

The chili con queso was great as was the salsa. The red chili tasted like something out of a can and the taco meat left drippings of grease all over the plate. It didn't even appear to be drained off. The guacamole we had had a giant brown spot and tasted like it had been sitting out for a little bit. The sopas were dry and greasy. I was really surprised. If I ever returned it would just be for queso and salsa.

Service:

This was our first visit after having a footprint in the metro area for 40 years and I wont return. Normally I'd ask for a manager but the overall experience tells me that the management is probably not interested in any solutions I would have to offer.

We were greeted by a server and taken to our seats pretty quickly. We sat at our seat for about 7 minutes before another server came to our table and immediately told me I couldn't have my Stanley water bottle. Not Hi how are you today but our health code doesn't allow you to have your own drink here. It was my water bottle and I take it everywhere with me in the metro area and I've never had this happen. Nevertheless I've never had it happen where that's the first greeting that I received.

She finally allowed me to put my water bottle on the floor which seems counter-intuitive but I did so just so we could carry on.

Atmosphere:

The chairs were comfortable and the restaurant seemed mostly clean. It was a little distracting to watch all the flies constantly on our food and flying on our faces and hair while we were trying to enjoy a meal. It was also concerning to me that dirty dishes were being picked up at the same time people were being handed their food and not noticing any break in between for hand washing. That really grossed us out. In fact the same person that was vacuuming was handling the vacuum and setting it down and refilling drink cups. Maybe I'm overthinking things but it seemed a little gross to me.

It certainly possible overall that I would have not noticed a lot of those things had I not been greeted so rudely. I understand maybe they have a rule of their own to enforce but from a customer's perspective you could at least start and say Hi how are you today welcome and then explain your concerns about a customer having their own...

On June 3rd I got married and used this place for my reception food was good service was great. Well today I went very BAD ! had I gotten seated with a different server I would have continued coming to this place the service was horrible today and The server was very rude when I spoke with said manager on duty she tried to tell me it took 2 hrs for me to get my food because they were cooking chicken and it takes longer needless to say that was weird because it was 2 pieces of chicken and it was cold when it was served to my son! 3 people got seated after us and they got there food before we got ours and I felt like giving that server a tip even though she was not the one that gave us service only because she was great she came to there table asking how everything was my server came to my table twice once after ten minutes to ask what we wanted to drink and a second time because we stopped her to ask what was going on with our food! And we had to wait another 15 just to get our food I think she forgot to place the order eitherwat I will never go back and will make sure none of my family goes here as well! Save yourself the hassle and go...

I’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for probably about 10 years or so, give or take. I have always gotten the same dish and never anything else... the ground beef burrito plate. This time it was different... there were beans in it and it used to have potato I think and the beef was weird. It tasted like canned corn beef hash or something. It has that canned meat taste. I only ate a 1/3 of it. The rice was bland. This used to be my favorite Mexican food restaurant. I asked the waitress if it was under new management simply because it was the same food for so long... always reliably fantastic. She assured me that it was under the same management. So idk if they got a new chef or changed the recipe but I really hope they change it back! Their salsa however is my favorite salsa in town and it was the same and amazing as ever. I’ll be back only to pick up a container of salsa to go unless they change their recipe back to how it was. The waitstaff was wonderful and...
