La Loteria — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Amazing Food! Incredible service!! Fast!! The best low prices!!! I want to keep this place a secret, but it's too good not to share it with you. If you haven't tried La Loteria yet, you are missing out. Carla and the team at this place have it figured out. You suddenly crave tacos and think of chains like Taco Bell, Del Taco, and Taco Cabana... No. Drive another few blocks and go here because you will get way better food and service and save time and money you would have wasted on trash-tasting tacos. You deserve this! This is what Tacos are supposed to be! These guys have online ordering, and with a few button clicks, you can choose your meals and drinks, add what you want more of, or take away whatever you don't want. It's super easy. Pay online and show up a few minutes later to pick up Hot, Fresh, and Delicious food for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Maybe you're not in the mood for tacos (is that even a thing?). They have a whole selection of Burgers, Tortas, and Burritos to choose from. Again, you can customize it however you like. They are going to get it right, and you'll be so happy and full. They give you generous portions, too. Online orders stop at 8 p.m., but don't worry—you can still place your order in person at La Loteria. You won't have a long wait time because they have this down to a science! I couldn't figure out why there wasn't a line out the door at this place; there should be; it's That Good! There's no line because they are skilled at getting the food out to their customers fast so they can enjoy their meal and their lives. We were on our vacation to Albuquerque from San Antonio. We went in, and had the taco combo, and it was great! We talked to the owner's son who gave us wonderful service, and we had a really nice conversation with him. It's good to see a family-owned place, and we initially chose it because of the high rating on Google Maps, and we were not disappointed. These were probably the best tacos we've ever had, and coming from San Antonio, that's saying a lot.

We had such a positive experience, we decided to go back the next day. My wife had the tacos again, and I wanted to try the Lotería Burrito, and again, we were not disappointed. This time, a lady was behind the counter and was very nice. The only negative is that we live eleven hours away. But we love New Mexico, and Albuquerque is a great town, so now La Lotería gives us another...

Albuquerque greatness rises from the ashes of a Blake's. This has become the default lunch spot for our lunch crew. The food is WAY better than it has any reason to be. The prices are about what we expect for lunch but the portions and ingredients and cooking are top notch. The Jamaica and Limon are a refreshing change from fountain drinks most lunch spots. I could rave about the giant meaty burgers but a less obvious gem in their menu deserves a shout. The green chilli cheese fries. The Queso is just about as close to perfect as I've had. The fries stay crispy even as take out. You won't run out of chilli or Queso before you finish the fries. Everyone wins...
