McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Nice establishment horrible customer service. I have been a professional in this industry for more than 10 years. This staff here this afternoon gave me every excuse on why they had a badd attitude towards me and my family and others around. And then as if it was my job to explain to them that there needs to be a level of customer service represented by a company as prestigious as this. I was satisfied with the cooks and the food but the service was nowhere near the same. My niece Sophia sat at the dirty table waited for somebody to come by and clean it for her and then when requested they gave us a look like they were too busy to care. Finally when the lady came over to clear the table off she was walking behind me and let out a sigh and said "O God here we go" I then turned around and looked at her directly and let her know I heard what she had just said. She then proceeded to say we are busy and I wasn't saying it to you. I then proceeded to say I wish I did not have to hear you struggle like this because customer service really is your job. And then had somebody else come over and cleaner table for us. And the person they sent over to clean over the table argued with me that it was busy and they were flustrated which would explain their negative attitude towards me in my family. I then proceeded to say I am disappointed because I have brought my family to your establishment so that we can eat and have a good time and not have to listen to the staff complain about their job. This would have been a really nice it experience if there was better customer service training. I tried not to push the issue any further because it was an outing of my sister's choice. Very disappointed in you McAlisters Deli. You get a very big thumbs down from this professional in this industry.

PS after I explained to the staff about my experience and how they can better their situation they stopped smiled in faked their way through the whole thing... So obvious we weren't...

McAllister's was such an amazing place to eat! But the staff is awful. I dealt with McAllister's today for over 3 hours. I called in to place a curbside order and was hung up on twice. When I called the third time a girl answered and then left me on hold for 20 minutes. But, I could hear them having conversations the entire time. I eventually hung up and decided to drive to the store because I thought they were just really busy. When I arrived there were only a few customers at the restaurant. I ordered my food and waited. I was there for about 40 minutes waiting for my food. I finally told someone that I had been waiting for almost 40 minutes. They said that they had lost my ticket. After a long time they finally brought out the food. My friends and I then left with our food. When we got home we realized our order was wrong and the mac and cheese we ordered was 1/4 a cup full. It looked like someone had thrown a spoonful in. I was mad and called again and asked to speak to the manager. The girl who answered the phone was so rude and left me somewhere and just waited for me to hang up. She was talking about how annoying some customers were. She kept me on hold for another 15 minutes. Again all I heard was her laughing and messing around. I hung up again and called one last time. By this time it had been almost three hours later. I was beyond mad. The girl answered and I told her everything and that I wanted to talk to the manager now. I then talked to the manager who was very apologetic. She said she was new . I didn't blame her at all, I blamed her staff. Those kids do not care about their jobs. Plus the tables at the restaurant were disgusting. This place was amazing, but the teenagers ruined my overall experience. They were rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, childish and this was mainly the staff in front who were...

This deli has gone downhill. I would say DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! $30+ dollars for no meat sandwiches at a "Deli",... what a JOKE! We spent more than $30!! for only 2 people and that is even without Drinks! It makes me sad how disappointing my recent experience was when it came to quality and price of food, and how the female manager on duty didn't care to fix the issue. I was excited to eat there because I hadn't been there since before the remodel so it has been awhile. Me and my boyfriend each got a "pick 2" so I got a chef salad and a their McCallisters club wrap. My bf got tortilla soup and a roast beef sandwich melt thing. His sandwich was decent but lacked meat and his tortilla soup was soup with tortilla chips on side, not even tortilla strips within the soup so that was misleading. My plate was just sad. The chef salad was thrown on the plate. It used to come in its own bowl which was more presentable back in the day. And my sandwich was so DEFLATED! It didn't have the amount of meat it used to have. It used to have more than 1 sad slice of turkey and 1 sad slice of ham.. It was more a lettuce and sweet mustard FLAT wrap. I had to put my pickle in it so that I didn't leave there completely starved... When I spoke to the lady that was counting money at the register, she didn't offer to have anything remade. She stated the sandwiches are "pre-made". It wasn't like they were busy, the cooks in the back were just standing there doing nothing. We were there 1st customers that morning!! They had every opportunity to fix this issue but nobody offered to do anything and nobody...
