I was in total shock & misbelief with a Receipt for Three 64oz Growler Fills when visiting this Brewery for the first time on, 11/20/2019. I stopped by here to get some good New Mexico Craft Beer from this Brewery Filled into Growlers & didn't first ask what their Prices were for 64oz Growler Fills with their Craft Beers that I wanted. I chose Two of my 64oz Growlers to be Filled with the Imperial Milk Stout at 8.5% ABV just after sampling it. My other 64oz Growler, I got filled with the Ginger Beer at just 6.5% ABV. The Female Server who waited on me filled my 64oz Growlers, Printed out & brought to me my Receipt for my Three 64oz Growler Fills of their Beer.
It was quite a Bill shock to me when I looked at my Receipt & saw that I was charged & due to pay $22.50 per 64 oz Growler of Beer as for I would never expect to pay $22.50 for any Growler of Beer at any Brewery anywhere including here at The 377 Brewery unless, the Beer was at 10% ABV or higher which both of these were clearly not. I was estimating my Beer Tab for Three Growlers of Beer to be possibly around, $40.00 to $44.00 Dollars at the most, if even that much but never a Total of $67.50. The Ginger Beer at only 6.5% ABV, cost me the same Price for a 64oz Growler of it as I paid the Imperial Stout which was a higher Alcohol Beer at 8.5% ABV. Shockingly, It was also unknowingly & shockingly $22.50 per 64oz Growler fill of Beer.
After this unexpected high Charge that I had to pay on this Date for Three 64oz Growlers of Beer at The 377 Brewery, I am still in shock today & very unhappy about those high Charges of, $22.50 per 64oz Growler of Beer. This Brewery is not competitive with other New Mexico Breweries lower cost Growler Fill Prices. The 377 Brewery is charging too much Money for 64oz Growler Fills at $22.50 per 64oz Growler Fill which to me seems overpriced in my opinion. I for sure will be staying away from this high Priced Brewery after my first visit to them which was a total bill shock to me when my Receipt was Printed out & given to me showing a total...
Read moreThis review is actually from August 10th. We were staying at a hotel near this brewery and it was recommended to us. When we came in we were seated immediately. And there seem to be some question as who is going to be our waiter. There was a a man and a woman. The woman said do you want me to take this table. And the man said no I got it. He came over in a reasonable amount of time to give us the menu. When he gave us the menu we had already decided we wanted chips with queso, he asked us if we wanted to try any of the beers and we just ordered non-alcoholic drinks. And then we were treated to an eye roll from him. I'm assuming because he knew our bill wouldn't be as much. So he went off and said he would get those. It did take a little bit more time than I feel like it should and he kind of just dumped him off and didn't give us any plates or anything. We ate the chips and the queso and they were fine. And then we waited and waited and waited. We saw the woman waitress attentively talking to her customers and moving around. We saw our waiter standing around. Talking to people at the bar. Not taking our order. At some point he comes over we're pretty excited cuz we were ready to order and hungry. And he said " do you guys have a white Subaru "??. We said no why and he said because some a** parked out there is blocking everything. And just walked away. And then we waited and waited some more and finally he came over and it had been at least a half an hour. And he said are you guys ready to order and we said no just give us the check and leave. He didn't even question why he just got our check. We left and when we got back to the hotel we we suggested that they didn't recommend that restaurant anymore because they had a really bad waiter. I'm assuming that this is probably a fine place to eat, and probably most of the other wait staff are fine. But it was really one of the worst experiences I've had eating out. And my husband and I eat out...
Read moreWhenever I come to ABQ, I stay near the airport. And whenever I come to ABQ, I hit numerous breweries. But the first brewery I always hit is always the one nearest my hotel. The 377 is less than a mile from my hotel, which makes it dangerously convenient!
Named for the 377th Air Base Wing at nearby Kirtland Air Force Base, the 377 draws an eclectic, unpretentious crowd. It is most certainly a neighborhood bar that happens to brew its own beer and serves food. As such, it is not a hipster brewery, or where the young professionals hang out. But as I told my drinking buddy that night, that’s what I love about the 377 as well as all of the many breweries in ABQ: They all have their own distinct vibe and clientele.
Good beer just attracts people, and the people eventually find their own tribe for gathering purposes.
The 377 has only been around since 2018, and quickly earned its stripes. I have been many times during these short few years, and their beers have grown increasingly flavorful and complex. On this particular night I went with La Pundit (IPA; 7.5% ABV), a very approachable hop-forward ale that has a delightfully mild finish. On other visits I have had Red Horse NM Lage (5% ABV) and Kölsch (5.6% ABV), both excellent choices if you are seeking something on the lighter side.
On a future visit I’ll have to try the food as well, but for now, know that the beers are spot-on, the crowd easy-going and fun, and atmosphere electric. This is a fun place to be, whether you are an...
