I went through the drive thru. At the time I didn't know her name. Taking me order, she was rude. Am telling her that I want two orders and she telling me, which one I want. Ghost pepper wings and $6 box. Again she ask which one. I tell her again that I want both. So then I talked real slow. Then her tone changed. I got to the window. I asked the cashier, which was a young man, what was the girl name taking orders. He said that he didn't know. Any one that works together and take up for the next that doing wrong is a part taker. Now they must have all been chatting about the situation before I made to the window. Guess whom looking when I pull around. The manager, yes is standing there too. So the young man st the window, who was ready to receive my money, didn't have the food. After asking him the girl name who took my order and he looking confused saying he doesn't know his co-worker name. She comes up to the window with the earpiece on her head. I ask her what's her name and she looks at me turns up her nose and says, what. Again, I asked her what's your name and she said Ashley, she didn't have a name tag on. Remind you as we are Talking the manager is looking on and not saying a word. Then I proceeded to ask Ashley why she has an attitude and turning her nose up at me. She gets more ugly and say to me, what you talking about. I told her, how you were speaking to me in the drive thru. She said that she didn't understand what I wanted. I told her, say you don't understand and don't talk to me like that. She turns her nose up again. Asking me what I want to do. I kept asking her why was she being rude to me. She never answered. First off people who read my post. I was a single mother. I have over 25 grandchildren. Respect and responding kindly will get you every where. Even when you don't have money. Next, when people spend there money, from $1 to $1000 of dollars show them respect. If the are not patriots. One can't make money to live. How you treat people keeps your business going. In small mind they would say, money makes the world go round. Lies, lies...people whom spend the money makes this move. Because me personally don't want everyone money. All money now good money. Now speaking on the Popeyes store, this particular store had a long line everyday. And I should have known something when the line was short. Then I look at the reviews and dates. Now the advice to the owners. Go check on your store am never going back. Going across town for good customer service is worth the ride instead of rudeness for MY MONEY. Where is Samantha James, who worked there for years. I don't care who get mad. One culture in one business is not good when you have many culture customers buying your food. Blessings to the ones whom respect their job and the companies who care. Last things...if the customer doesn't spend money, the companies can't make money to hire employees to work. Read moreOf the 20+ years that I've lived close to this popeye's #2117 (59 north & little york) they never have had competent people working there. I always try to avoid going to this popeye's and choose to drive 10-15 minutes to another popeye's because the service is so bad there.
This is the first and only fast food place that I have seen that has bullet proof glass in between the customer and the worker taking the order.. (but i guess that's something that they can't be blamed for, they probably got tired of getting robbed).
The workers there don't seem to know what they are doing, and if they do know what they're doing they don't seem to care about the job and just carry on filling the orders nonchalantly without a care in the world. It seems as though they will hire anyone willing to accept minimum wage and has minimum competence to complete simple task, and the people they do hire aren't trained adequately enough to do their job correctly.
Every time I stop at this place I know that I have to check my order once I receive it. 9 times out of 10 the order will be incorrect. All my friends and family know to check their orders at this popeye's. .
Drive through takes 30-45 minutes from when you line up to when you receive your order.
Tips for this Popeye's #2117 (59N & Little York) Avoid this popeye's, go to another one. Pack your patience, you'll need them. Always Always check your orders.
Franchise owner, district or regional managers need to fix this popeye's and hire better staff and need to act like they actually care about whats going on at this place.
Parking lot is always dirty. The lights on the big Popeye's sign outside doesn't work and the lights on the drive through menu do not work. Once it gets dark outside you cant tell if the place is open because the outside lights...
Read moreThis location was the worst!! Went through the drive thru on today to order food had a small conversation with one of the managers and everything was fine! Got home and the chicken was burnt and included soooo much fat and grease it was horrible!! Went back to address the issue just to get the food remade and instantly one of the other managers on duty said it wasn’t burnt it was the seasoning because I ordered spicy…. I looked at her and said this is not my first time eating Popeyes! So the other manager comes over that I had a conversation with and said we can just change it I said thank you. To the other manager coming to me with even worse chicken than I got the first time! I said ma’am just give me my money back please she said no why I replaced the chicken? I said I will just like a refund. She then goes let me see the receipt, I let her know I didn’t get a receipt and she says well we can’t do anything else without the receipt! I showed her the transaction and let her know I just left here 15 mins ago the manager knows it! The manager said yes she did just basically give it to me. The rude manager started speaking Spanish going off lol I said excuse me I don’t speak Spanish what you say?! She then goes to say you want a free two piece or something? I said I don’t want anything for free I didn’t ask you for that! I just at this point want my money back! She walks away still talking shit of course so I wouldn’t understand her so I’m just waiting and just walked away without the food or the money! The company needed both more than I did obviously.
