MUGLYS SHOULD BE CALLED "EMERGENCY ROOM NEEDED IN 6 HRS"
We ate there last night 3/8/23 and ordered a build your own burger with French Fries on the side. Myself I ordered the chicken parmesan meal.
The burger had no strange taste, the French fries were hard and stale. The chicken Parm meal was ok but it was not hot and fresh. It was as if it was re heated and made earlier or days ago. The spaghetti was rubbery and chewy while the sauce seemed old and not fresh at all.
Now here's the kicker.... About 6 hrs later my fiance started to get nauseous in her stomach and felt Shakey. During the evening she started to get the shivers and then followed with down right tremors from shivering. She felt as if she had to puke but never did and developed a headache and slowly recovered the next morning.
We realized she had food poisoning from this place . Clearly something with the hamburger meat was not handled properly or not stored properly.
We are guests at the hotel, and have seen their silverware during breakfast, and it's disgusting. They are not washed and the plates are covered in filth and we only used paper plates and plastic ware. Also they allow patrons/guests to eat at the breakfast buffet with no shirt or shoes on. At least they don't enforce health codes. So yeah if you don't mind thugs coming in wearing no clothing and pants to the ground exposing underwear then come on down.
I truly believe this restaurant needs a visit by the health dept for a sanitary and food safety inspection.
There is something very wrong here and I highly recommend for you stay away if you want to stay healthy and avoid a food born pathogene or lower GI infection.
Also during thier

Hubby got an Oberon on tap and I got a Coke. We ordered a basket of cheese sticks as a starter. Those were so hot and cheesy when they arrived, so so good, they were crispy, crunchy golden brown! As our main dishes I ordered the parmesan tilapia and the hubby got the spaghetti with meat sauce. My Tilapia came with two sides, I chose mashed potatoes and that amazing looking side salad! Hubby's spaghetti was served with either a side salad or a cup of soup, he chose the soup which was white chicken chili and was very flavorful and peppery! All in all a very good dining experience and you really get a very nice portion of food for the price!
Visited Mugly's again on 5/4/23 while vacationing at the BW again for a concert at the Fillmore in downtown Detroit and we weren't disappointed! Such great service and food!! The Hubby this time around got the Mugly's Club Sandwich and I got the Chicken Strip dinner, which also came with a salad! Thanks again Mugly's for the great...
Read moreWe ate here as a family on Friday night of our stay. It was very busy, as the hotel was fully booked. We had ordered 2 chicken strip meals, a Muglys bacon burger, BBQ Chicken dinner, and Fish and Chips with sweet potato fries. Our side salads were huge and good besides stale croutons. The chicken strip meals came out nice and hot and the portion was huge. The BBQ chicken came out at the same time and was delicious. I think our waitress forgot about the Fish and Chips. It came out about 5 minutes after all the other food and it was barely warm. I was starving so I ate it. It wasn’t bad but it definitely could’ve been fried just a bit longer.
Our second night we ordered Mozzarella sticks and the Chicken Parmesan pasta to go. The server was pleasant. The food was up about 20 minutes after placing the order. It was hot and delicious. It was a very large portion, it fed 3 people!
The features and wood work of the old building are very charming. It seemed clean and well kept.
The breakfast staff were not as friendly and inviting as the dinner staff.
Overall I thought this...
