Dry , nasty. Even reduced they are $15 for 6 old cinnamon rolls. Their stuff is hit n miss. Days they used to be good and mostly days they are dry now. The person in charge of this establishment seems to think I write a lot of negative reviews. You are correct! There's a lot of really bad, overpriced food in Idaho, because people are lazy here. This includes your establishment. Also, people in Idaho, apparently don't ever go anywhere and they think everything here is wonderful, because they have no actual experience with anything else. If you look at your reviews that other people have left, you'll see I'm not the only one that thinks your place has gone downhill. There's a reason your other locations didn't survive. I saw the reviewer you were snarkey to and I think your reply pretty much sums up the quality of this place telling her Albertson's will appreciate the new business. Pretty much sums up the quality of your place.
Cindy Houck 26 reviews a year ago Take out | Other | $1–10 What happened? The cinnamon rolls and caramel nut rolls used to be so good ands such a treat! I can go to Albertsons and pay 1/3 of the price and get a cinnamon roll just as good. So disappointed with the changes. I went be going back. Nothing special about this place anymore. Read moreI have been a follower of Mrs Powell's way before the Ammon location. Those that don't know Mrs Powell's, it has been an Idaho staple well before the 1990's. You could say it's Y2K and used to be a mall food court staple. My daughter had a bridal shower a few years ago and we ordered dozens of micro mini cinnamon rolls and mini sugar cookies. I tried to order the same menu recently for a baby shower. I was told the cookies were no longer made. I have since seen them provide these to their Facebook friends. When I asked why they were not available a few weeks ago the baker said "we make them by the tons. Tell them Chris sent you" I was told they were closed that Saturday I needed my order and would have to pick my order up Friday. I was told they would package my order in the styrofoam trays with plastic bags so my order would stay fresh until my party Sunday. This did not happen. I called and talked with the baker Chris who was demeaning and rude on every level. I also tried to resolve this with the owner Amy Romriell who was just as rude. I will now be taking this matter to my financial institution since I was overcharged and there has been zero resolution but excuses. The owner privately messaged me being rude. Not IMPRESSED AT ALL with THE CURRENT owners of Mrs Powells. ZERO stars...
Read moreStopped to get some items before Christmas and was disappointed with the selection (no bread, no rolls, no more sandwiches). When I asked when they would have more bread, I was told they only bake bread once per week! What kind of bakery only bakes bread once a week?!? Also, they only had a cheap, old looking, dried out sample of each of their cinnamon rolls. All the display cases were empty. The only person there to wait on customers had to go in the back to box up the requested items. The entire experience was underwhelming and disappointing. The cinnamon rolls were good, but are much smaller than they used to be and are stupidly expensive. Overall,...
