Just Breakfast — Restaurant in Anacortes

EDIT - I've been going back, and it seems like my review was an isolated incident because the food and service have been pretty dang good! My only complaint would be the smell by the front door. There was a musty smell as we walked in and smelled it had gotten wet, maybe the carpet. However, our breakfasts and service were good, and we will keep going back.

We were really looking forward to trying this place as we literally live behind it! So first of all the coffee is fenominal ! Like I'm not a coffee drinker and would drink this coffee every day. Tony's out Bellingham if you're curious. We went in hungry 😋 the waitress was nice enough but we got someone else's breakfast and again we were hungry so good thing we didn't just start eating. After some confusion and the waitress checking how she made this mistake, she realized it was someone else's order. Then our order came out and looked good enough, but as I cut into the eggs, I realized they were still raw, and the whites were still clear and stringy at this point my patients is gone and I'm feeling like my meal was a bust and for 47$( with tip) for 2 breakfasts I would be hesitant to try it again. We have been looking forward to trying this breakfast spot in Anacortes. Good and not-so-good. Nice place, took time to enjoy the photos. Quick and pleasant service. Not very busy on a Wednesday morning. I had half homemade biscuit and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns. Cooked perfect, gravy was good, biscuit was hard as a rock. Clearly several days old. I don't understand why a restaurant believes they can get rid of old biscuits by putting some gravy on them. Very disappointed. My wife had the classic American breakfast. Hers was very good and she enjoyed them. I had coffee. Much better than average. Wife had hot tea. Tea was done right. Hot water in cup, more hot water in medium size metal pot. After 10 minutes, a server acknowledged us and took our drink order. Another 10 minutes and no drinks, no menu, no service. I've been a server, and the number of people should have been manageable. We had to leave because it was obviously going to be a while. Maybe just a bad day or new servers?...
