UPDATE * They obiously donāt care if they receive poor reviews. I asked one of the workers outside the location, did you see the review I left? ā They donāt care about reviews, they care about tourist, we get enough so they donāt careā This is the customer service FAIL that is plaguing businesses and causing loss of revenue and growth. There are other GREAT places to eat within a few feet that provide a better quality of food and care about their customers.
This location is quite a bit smaller than the one in Disney Springs and smaller than the old location as well. The food quality here has been a tad bit lower than normal lately. Pass by here on a weekly basis and decided to give them a try again. The visit was delayed in the order line with a payment system that went down. So we stood there waiting for a longer than nessesary wait to get our food. Once we received our food, we had to find a seat outside as there were no seats inside, again, unlike the old local and the one in Disney Springs. The sandwiches had a less than aesthetically appealing look to them, but had good flavor profiles. Worth the price point, not at all at $9 a pop. The broccoli cheddar soup was not bad and as I remembered with good amounts of broccoli and had was served hot. The tomato soup on the other hand had more croutons than soup, so that was disappointing for sure. $5 a cup for thoseā¦.The Miss Vickie jalapeƱo kettle chips were as they always are, good, but NOT at $2.25 a peice⦠By piece I mean 10 chips⦠We decided to partake in a few desert choices they offered for review purposes. Chocolate chip cookies, brownies and the strawberry shortcake cheesecake from company - Bsweet. The chocolate chip cookies were ok, not amazing by any stretch, but good. Not granular and had a decent bite with classic chocolate chip cookie flavor and around $4.50 The brownie bites were the winner here! Moist, chocolaty, flavorful and classic delicious brownie flavor we love. These were $5ā¦. The loser, the Bsweet strawberry debacle they have for sale. From the looks of it, we had great expectations. From the first bite, you knew this was NOT going to be something you finish. The texture was foamy and not cakey by any means. The strawberry flavor was completely artificial and chemical tasting. A total disaster in your mouth and ruins your tastebuds for some time after you wash down the concoction. When you have multiple people tasting the same item with the same result, you know itās the product. This disaster was priced the highest at $9 and it added insult to injury⦠The decor is not anything to write home about, as you would have hoped for in a Disney attraction enviroment. The location is ideal as it is a stones throw from the front gates of both parks. But at this price point, there are better options for your dollar, especially in these times. Sorry, Earl Of Sandwich has been downgraded to a viscount⦠But at least its not a baron⦠There is hope for redemption if they can turn it aroundā¦Iām not holding breath⦠More care in their product⦠Better desert choices that are actually tested for goodness BEFORE overcharging and feeding to customers⦠Kick up the atmosphere and decor a bit⦠Donāt rip people off⦠$2.25 for a bag of chips with 10 chips in it? Really Earl, really? $3.99 for a med fountain drink? Again, really?? $8.99 for chemical cake? A $65 experiment I wouldnāt do again for that price⦠3/5 is a fair rating, as most would just give you 1 star and...

EXTENDED BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY
Free sandwich coupon
It was the last day to redeem my birthday coupon, so off I went for my first visit to California's only Earl of Sandwich restaurant.
Hmmmm, I wanna try the Holiday Turkey sandwich. Although, I also wanna try the Original 1762. Oh, the Chipotle Chicken Avocado looks good, too. What did I end up choosing? The current promo sandwich for a limited time - Pastrami Reuben on wheat, requesting the addition of banana peppers, onions, tomatoes, pickles and spinach.
Thoughts? The sandwich is a tiny lil bugger. I requested extra ingredients to it, so without them, the sandwich would've been even more scant. Regardless, the flavor was good. I didn't think thousand island dressing would work on a Reuben, but it surprisingly did. The toasted bread provided a welcome crunch and the pastrami was tender and juicy.
Seating is minimal on the inside, with plenty of seating to eat in the covered outside patio, making a great opportunity to people watch while dining. I ordered my sandwich, given a buzzer and waited a few mins till my order was up. The setup looks kinda awkward if you want to purchase their baked goods. I think you're supposed to ask the cashier to get it for you, but it seems more logical for diners to get what they want and bring it to the cashier, cafeteria-style.
FYI, Earl of Sandwich does not validate parking. I just came in the morning to get my sandwich and go. Plus, there was no parking attendant present when leaving the Downtown Disney parking lot, so I left without having to pay for parking. Score!
I recommend paying a visit to Earl of Sandwich the next time you're at Downtown Disney. The next closest one is all the way in Vegas, so for a new dining destination that would otherwise be hard to come by, check out the many sandwiches, wraps, salads and other food items here. The sandwiches, while small, are tasty and I'm eager to try their other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to start. Five stars is not enough stars. The best experience I have ever had. We ate at the tavern. Well first we went for a snack and drinks in the afternoon. That's when we meet the staff. Server Manny server Nick host Piage manager Robert bar tender Roberto. There are no words that can describe the kindness, helpfulness, and interaction we had. It felt like we where family. My son is wheelchair bound at this time. Paige went above and beyond to make sure we had access for my son can't say thank you enough. As we ordered Manny never skipped a beat. He never left us alone. If I looked around for him to ask for something or ask a question Nick was right there to help as well as Robert. This was only the experience we had in the afternoon. I promised to return for dinner with my family. Robert made sure we would have accommodations for dinner when we returned. We return for dinner as we promised. The experience only got greater. Again the service was greater then any place my family and I had ever been before. The food was absolutely amazing. The bar tender is out of this world. We ordered drinks. Not ordinary drinks that you find on a menu. He made the drinks we asked for, never did we hear that the drink could not be made cause it's not normal. Manny, what can I say his service was above and beyond expectations. Like I said he never left us alone waiting. The friendliness was that of a best friend feeling. Thank you for everything. Robert, the manager was very attentive to everyone in the tavern. The interaction with him was great. Have conversation that you would expect to have with long time friend. Nick, is a one of a kind person inside and out. The main thing I have to most respect for is his willingness to help my wife who has trouble walking. He went out of his way to help her. This experience has been the greatest. I will return as well as tell all my friends and family to visit this location. For those who have not been here I highly recommend you take a trip. Thank you everyone for the kindness and service....
