I am writing a very critical review.
I genuinely wish I could rate this lower. They are so rude. I was with my 17 month old, we were letting her walk around in a controlled area to get some of her energy out. It was the corner by which you order.
Turns out, they don't give you your food if you don't go to this specific counter. I was baffled, as I had watched these employees hang out and stand around. They delayed making my hotdog because of this. I assumed the 8-10 minute timeline they gave me was due to the need to cook. Turns out, it was their social time. I literally paid someone to find every way they could think of to spite me. I am awestruck. I assume they don't felt I tipped enough.
I wasn't expecting a lot of service, I just wanted a hot dog. It is not too much of a process. I don't expect 5 star service but hot dog was this a nightmare.
I mentioned that they wanted me to stand around a very specific spot in order to get my food. I watched them make it alongside someone else. They brought them both to the counter. I was watching my daughter so when I finally managed to let my wife take over fully so I could walk over, I was maybe 10 seconds late. The gentleman took my order, locked eyes with me as he sat my order in an area unaccessible to me.
Nobody told me my order was up, so I assumed it was a snack for an employee. This dude was leering at me over a pickle haha.
Eventually, my daughter brought us over to the area where they specificly wanted you to go to pick up the food. After a while of me waiting, and then me watching them call orders 3-5 (I was 2) they finally decided to give me my order. I was absolutely in awe of this.
I highly recommend eating anywhere else. I felt guilty for wanting to eat a corndog.
I created a helpful guide for anyone that wants to know specifically...
Read moreHorrible experience, went to downtown Disney on 12/19/23 and I ate here at about 10:45. I ordered an original corn dog and i had the golden dragon. The girl handling my order said wait 5 to 10 minutes and she’ll call me order number when it’s ready. I sat approximately 15 feet away , looked directly at the stand over and over, they never called my number , after about 20 minutes I walked over very obvious looked at them and they asked if I was number 60, I said yes and then they grabbed my food that has been sitting on the top for over 15 minutes. Already annoyed at this point. She hands me my food and says we broke the stick so you’ll have to be careful, or I can give you a fork. I said can you remake it please, I would like to eat it as a corn dog and I spent almost $20, I want the stick to be functional. She replied no use a fork don’t be lazy. At this point I was livid. I said no I would like it to be re made. She breathes really loud looks at me and says fine, takes it back and then she talks to her friend the other employee that was there they talk for a few seconds look back at me and then start laughing. They ignored me the whole time she re made a corn dog she broke in the first place. After she made it she kind of threw it on the table and said here happy now. Which I was in shock and disgust on why people think it’s appropriate to be that rude to a customer when you broke the first corn dog. I felt ashamed and I walked away embarrassed because others were also there watching. I do not recommend eating at this specific stand if these...
Read moreThis review is solely for the Panko Crusted Pickle Dog. I have not tried other corn dogs here, which I am sure are much better!
Since Disneyland's reopening began, several YouTubers discovered the presence of a new corn dog in Downtown Disney: the Pickle Dog. Based on their reviews and recommendations, I knew this was not going to be your average treat but I was down to try it.
It took a while for them to make it - around 10 min. When I received it, it was piping hot! After a few more bites the corn dog began to fall apart. Hot pickle juice ran down the stick onto my hand and the panko crust moved independently from the pickle, which moved independently from the hot dog.
It was just plain difficult to hold the corn dog, much less eat it. It also came with a peanut butter dipping sauce (not really a sauce, so much as just plain peanut butter) which added nothing to the flavor. Such a bizarre combination.
I eventually finished it, but it's clear to me I won't be ordering this bad-boy again...
