Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Garden Grove

I'm staying at one of the hotels nearby so gave it a shot. Admittedly, I've been craving fried chicken for a few days and it appears this place just opened. It had a steady stream of people coming in and out, which was a good sign. I ordered a 3 piece meal and the gentleman at the register, Jonathan, said they were out of legs at the moment and offered me a breast instead (an upgrade, but I prefer dark meat). Wow! We've been waiting with anticipation for this location to open, and it did not disappoint!!! The chicken meal with half fried and half grilled was sooo good!! Chicken cooked to perfection! The yuca fries and plantains were AMAZING!! The spicy chicken sandwich might just put brand X out of business.. delicious! Jonathan Santos is the manager, and he was so kind and welcoming..the ppl who work here are so inviting and helpful! This place is a must eat! The store is beautiful and the patio is awesome!!! This is a new store opening and wanted to try it out. I am glad I did, it was unique and flavorful food that I really enjoyed. My food choice was the 3 piece dark meat chicken meal with french fries and coleslaw, instead of a roll and got a Tortilla. Comparing it to other chicken places I thought that the chicken stood out as being tasty and unique as well as tender and juicy.

Everyone one that I met greeted me of course it was the grand opening but it was nice. I am going to visit Pollo Campero...
