I have always wanted to go, especially since I heard so much about it when my cousin played on the U of M football team 2 years ago. I live near Traverse City, so planned out my trip so I could go. I went here last night to celebrate me being told I was CANCER FREE. I couldn’t have cheese for weeks leading up to my scans so was so very excited for pizza. I can honestly say I was thoroughly disappointed. Not only was the “side salad” $7, it was pretty sparse. The pizza could’ve stood another 5 minutes in the oven, but I didn’t say anything because thought maybe that’s how they do it. My 2 friends and I all ate a slice and were completely amazed at how NOT impressive it was. Tasted like any other pizza. When we got the bill I about keeled over. It was $55 for 2 pops, 2 salads, and a medium pizza!!!!! I paid for most of the pizza because they gave me the left overs and my portion was $35! Money I hadn’t planned on spending, especially for subpar pizza. Save your cash and go to Little Caesar’s. I wish I did. I have medical bills to pay and I guess I never dreamed a medium pizza would cost so much. My cancer free celebration was no celebration at all. :(

I had a very disappointing experience at Pizza House. The pricing on their menu is extremely misleading. What they list as the price of a pizza (around $17 for a personal deep dish or small Sicilian) is not even the full pizza — it’s just the cost of the dough and sauce, without any cheese or standard toppings. You’re essentially paying a high base price for what isn’t even a complete pizza. When I added normal toppings like green pepper, oregano, mushrooms, or mozzarella, I was shocked to find out I was being charged $1.25 to $3.75 per topping — totaling $6.75 and $21.00 extra on top of already expensive base prices. To make it worse, there’s also a 4.95% “Admin Fee” that was not disclosed when I ordered. This kind of pricing structure is not clearly explained anywhere on the menu. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Customers deserve transparency, especially when basic ingredients like cheese aren’t included in the base cost. I would not return, and I strongly recommend asking detailed questions before ordering here.

Their website suggested reservations and so we made them ... they were completely unnecessary. The restaurant wasn't really crowded, but they put us at a table near and extremely large party which meant we waited 10 15 minutes to have a server come over and take our drink order. I'm not sure if this is a post-pandemic thing or not but menus aren't provided, a broken tablet was shared, but for quicker service, it was suggested that we use our cell phones and scan the qr-code to see the menu and place our order. Admittedly, I am a little Tech challenged so needed help accessing their menu which was annoying. All ended well with an attentive server who got us a working tablet, a delish Chicago-style deep dish pizza and a shared hot fudge sundae. We will definately return for a taste of Chicago in Ann Arbor!

We had the worst experience at this location all of this happened on the 12th of February. It wasn't busy

Our family gave our order to the waitress after she served us glasses of water. The order included a meat lovers pizza and a half Reuben sandwich with chips. The order was taken and took so long that we had to get the order to go. We had to physically go the waitress/manager to find where the order was as far as when was it going to be served. The waitress was very rude and not willing to cooperate or apologize for the inconvenience.

The following events occurred

—the waitress tossed the straws on the table after we requested them. She gave us three straws and not four. We requested another straw and she claimed that had to go to the kitchen to get more, but she had extra straws in her apron. She threw down additional straws on the table after being told that she had extra straws in her apron. No tops were available for the children cups as she stated you just ran out of tops for those cups! Also, my mother-in-law asked for lids and she didn't know I had just asked and was told "I already said that we dont have tops for the kids drinks" in a very rude manner and rolled her eyes

—the half Ruben sandwich was NOT a Reuben . It was cold and had greasy chips in with the sandwich. The sandwich consisted of turkey meat, melted Swiss cheese, on grilled greasy white Texan-like toast. A Reuben consists of toasted rye bread, Russian or Thousand Dressing, Swiss cheese, corned beef, and sauerkraut. There was NO indication on the menu that this would be anything but a traditional Reuben sandwich.

— We placed our order right after another table she was at. They got their food shortly after. They got done with their 3 pizzas, fries and everything they had while we were still waiting on ours.

—The waitress did NOT tell us about any delays in our order. She did not communicate with us about the status of our order. In fact when I first asked about 20 minutes after placing the order she stated the order was only place 17 minutes ago rudely

--- We did get to speak with a manager and her approach was very loud and rude when she first came over. I had to state to her about how loud she was.  It felt like she was trying to humiliate us.

--- When we got the food, she handed us 2 other pizzas with the Reuben sandwich. We told her we didn't order the other 2 pizzas and at the bottom pizza was ours and the Reuben sandwich. She had to open up all 3 boxes to figure out which one was ours. There were people that ordered 20 minutes after us and there pizza was in that batch of the 3 pizzas that the woman had showed us.

--- So, I'm trying to figure out we spent our good money in this establishment only for us to feel like trash from your staff. We were treated with the upmost disrespect.. We were told we had to pay a 20% gratuity because we were with a group but all of our orders were separate and we were all at different tables and we were there for a basketball tournament. On top of all of that we didn't even get our food within the time of us sitting there so we had to get our food to go. So I'm pretty sure that us receiving water and disrespect is not worth 20% gratuity! The manager did take off the 20% for that but that is not for the amount of disrespect that we felt while we were there.

All of this and they just didn't give me my money back. Gave me 30% off and a $25 gift card really! But, the 30% was only really the 20% gratuity we had to pay for being with a group and 4.50% interest for ordering. Not to mention the food was cold and mother in law did not even eat her sandwich because it was cold and not right. The sandwich alone was $15 something. For me and my family to experience such disrespect it is very unsettling when we are spending money in your establishment! No one should experience what we...

In the world of culinary enchantment, one might not expect a mere basil leaf to wield transformative powers, but my visit to the iconic Pizza House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a testament to the extraordinary and the unexpected.

My journey began on a crisp autumn evening, as I entered the cozy realm of Pizza House, with the promise of delectable pizzas and Italian delights. Little did I know that an unassuming basil leaf would become the protagonist of a dining experience I would never forget.

The basil leaf in question, perched atop my Margherita pizza, was not just any ordinary herb; it was a revelation. Its lush green hue, seemingly imbued with the essence of sunshine and soil, held the power to transport me to a world of pure gastronomic bliss. The aroma it released was like an elixir, awakening my senses with every inhale.

The first bite was a revelation. The basil leaf, with its fragrant, herbaceous notes, melded seamlessly with the creamy mozzarella and the vibrant, ripe tomatoes. Each mouthful became a symphony of flavors and textures, an orchestration of culinary brilliance. As I savored the pizza, the basil leaf seemed to whisper tales of sunny Italian fields, Mediterranean breezes, and centuries of culinary tradition.

But it was not just the taste; it was the profound impact this basil leaf had on my entire dining experience. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and I was transported to a world of heightened appreciation for the simple yet profound joy of savoring a perfectly crafted Margherita pizza.

As I contemplated the mysteries of this basil leaf, I couldn't help but share my revelation with the attentive staff at Pizza House. Their smiles and nods of understanding only reinforced the belief that I had encountered something truly extraordinary. They explained that the basil they used was locally sourced and carefully cultivated, a symbol of the restaurant's commitment to quality.

It was as if this basil leaf had unlocked a deeper connection to the world of food, making me more aware of the ingredients, the craftsmanship, and the stories behind every dish. It made me realize that sometimes, the most profound moments in life can be found in the simplest of experiences.

As I left Pizza House that evening, my heart was filled with gratitude for that one remarkable basil leaf. It had changed my life forever, reminding me that the beauty of dining lies not just in the flavors, but in the stories, memories, and connections that food can create.

Pizza House and its basil leaf had given me a gift I could never repay—a renewed appreciation for the magic of the culinary world. It taught me that even the smallest, most unassuming ingredient can leave an indelible mark on our lives and transform an ordinary meal into an...

Well somewhat new to the area and see the cars out all nite and the cowards there on weekdays and weekends so I decided to give it a go well maybe I shouldn’t have but i digress upon arriving, seem like a very nice establishment was greeted by a nice hostess seated at a table very quickly Pomeranian to the table, the waiter or a very shortly after asks what we’d like to drink in order appetizers being the first time there I need a little time to look it over he came back for order of appetizers , shortly after appetizers, our main course came. We had a salmon and teriyaki sauce with rice and vegetables. The rice was a mixture of rice in spaghetti noodles. Very terrible. Next was a mushroom Swiss burger with two pieces of mushroom in a pound of cheese coated over the top of it. The mushrooms are like hockey pucks then I made the cardinal sin in order, spaghetti and meatballs getting basketballs on as I had some bouncy rubbery meatballs in a pile of marinara sauce with wet, boil, noodles, water still dripping off of them in a heating bowl in front of me !! Being a nice guy am I decided to share my noodles with some of the other people at the table one of the other guest was blindsided by the taste and gagged !! It was the worst experience of dinning since coming to A2 maybe im dense should have took a hint by the name and ordered pizza but i figured they could pull of spaghetti I mean pizza is Italian then I was surprised at my $130 bill do you want to say I won’t ever be returning somehow I went in and I left 10 pounds lighter after not eating dinner with what was taken out of my wallet very sad seems like they lost the idea of good food in there just relying on customers college students to order pizzas to keep my float. There’s definitely no loving that pizza and seems like they care more about the bar on the side because the wallpapers coming off the walls it just seems very outdated in very un cared for. Noticed they always say sorry bad experience will pass message along SMH!! Yeah that helps when someone waste 100.00 dollars sad what have became ! Smh 🤦‍♂️ over...
