is it normal to be treated badly by staff?

Dear Manager,

I was out on Saturday night (3/16/2019) with some work friends and had a pretty bad experience following only 2 drinks. After our first drink I went up to the bar to ask for a captain and Diet Coke for my friend and I, after our round of the Keke shot. The first bartender we had (unfortunately I was unable to get her name as she was super friendly) gave us our ‘keke’ shots and that was terrific. After that I went up to the bar to get a captain and Diet Coke and the bartender that helped me (her name was Nikki, or Nicki) was extremely and unnecessarily nasty. I asked for my drink and she brought it to me without a straw. When I simply asked for a straw she said, “well what happened to your first one?” I said, “I’m sorry but I never got one.” And she came back and told me to get the fu*k out. When the bouncer or whatever the mans title is that came by, he deeply apologized for Nikki’s actions but said that he simply ‘just works here’ and kindly asked us to get out. I asked for her name as I knew this was done out of nothing but the pure fact that you could smell booze on her breathe.

I am hoping the manager of this establishment will contact me to discuss this unnecessary event that happened at a bar that we were just hanging out at and that appropriate action will be...

The night started great, great service from the bartenders. By the end of the night my girlfriend had her ID checked 3 times. It was checked by the bouncer at the time of arrival, obviously. Then later in the night we were enjoying our drinks and music when a woman who was drinking near us approached her in an extremely rude manner, saying “If you’re not 21 you need to leave now!”. When we assured her she was of age and had her ID checked twice already she then said “Give me your ID I actually work here”. We gave her the ID and she walked it to the bouncer to be checked a 3rd time. The bouncer assured her that it was all good, ID is real, and she is of age. This wasn’t enough as we were still being harassed by a woman claiming that she is not of age. Finally I said “enough, let’s go!” Then the “off duty employee” very rudely ripped my drink from my hand (a cup of mnt dew containing no alc.) put it behind the bouncer...

Tried to enter the bar. Upon entry very young and narcissistic bouncer denied our group of 6 due to being “over capacity”. They proceeded to make 0 effort to fix the issue but also allowed only certain customers in while we were asking why they weren’t kicking people out. We were told upon second entry the same thing, and once again only customers that “fit the profile” were let in. There was triple the crowd the night before and we entered just fine.
