Frank's Pizza Palace — Restaurant in Appleton

LIARS. Called to order 3 pizza's, 2 sausage & onion & 1 pepperoni. Was told it would be a little over an hour but if we came & picked them up it would be 15 mins. I knew that was a lie since they weren't made yet. We told them we would carry out our pie's. Once again told it would be 15 minutes. So we waited 20 minutes before we left home & made the 5 minute drive. We got there & were told pizza's were just about done so we paid our $51 bill. after 10 mins we asked our waitress what's the delay? We were told they are almost done. Since they make the pizza's right in front of you it's easy to become curious when you see 2 sausage & onion & 1 pepperoni being made. We asked them about it & were told they were not ours. 10 minutes later we asked where our oder was as we had 7 people waiting on us. The owner came over & said she didn't know what the delay was. We told her about being told 15 mins if we came & picked them up. Then we also told we saw our pizza's being made & were lied to about it. The owner offered us water with lemon for no charge. In the meantime a couple who were there when we arrived were starting to get angry because they had been there almost an hour after being told 15 minutes if you pick them up. We told the owner & the waitress we would be outside waiting. We also told them we wanted an order of cheese garlic bread on the house. They agreed. 15 minutes later an employee said our order was being packaged & we should come get them. 5 minutes later we had 3 pizza's & an order of cheese garlic bread. So we were there at this place an hour waiting on something that was supposed to have been ready when we got there. We go home & had 1 pepperoni, 1 sausage & onion & 1 sausage & mushroom that we didn't order plus we had smashed cheese garlic bread. Service here is a joke. They have no problems misleading & telling outright lies to the people who pay their wages & they don't care. I know this because I had the same thing happen the last time i ordered here. I've never seen such a chaotic disorganized mess! I've eaten here before when it wasn't too busy. If it's busy and you have a larger party, you are in for a LONG wait. There is a sign to seat yourself, but when there are no tables for a bigger party, what does one do then? The staff has no interest in helping either. They are VERY good at ignoring you. We waited more than an hour to be seated and another 30 minutes to get the food. And there is nothing to do while you wait. No bar. Can't even get a drink of water. Some people from our party went across the street to Walgreens to get a snack. The cheese mushroom pizza we had was soggy, crust not done. I really don't understand why this place is so busy. Why do they not have a hostess?? Or someone to tell a person what is going on?? I will never eat...

Wonderful food and terrific service. The location is larger than it appears from the outside. The pizza is a crispy thin crust that has a fired/smokey crust. The sauce is good but not overpowering. The cheese is well balanced with the meats. A great choice for vegetarians -- or anyone -- is the margharita pizza with fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, and fresh mozzarella. You can stand outside and watch them make the pizzas through the windows. Their building vent goes directly to the street so it smells heavenly just walking past the building. My two young daughters and I sat at the front counter waiting for a to-go order and they gave the girls two balls of pizza dough to play with while we waited.
