Serenity (our server) was extremely professional, attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. She made sure drinks and food came quickly. She was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She was amazing 1000/10 I loved her!!! On the other note Aron which is the manager there was extremely unprofessional and looked as if he was a server and not management I approached him at the host stand and he was leaning back on the wall behind him as if he was slouching. I spoke to him asking for the manager and he was very unprofessional I asked him for the manager first he told me he was then he told me he wasn’t and that the manager was in the back (he said this in front of two other waitress- a very bad influence onto them) then I asked to speak to that manager that was “in the back” he told me no I’m the manager with a little smirk on his face while still slouching back. I then told him that was unprofessional then told him about my concerns which I tipped serenity (my serving -she was training) but it didn’t go to her it went to the person training her, but I never even seen the face of who was training her so it bothered me because I wanted the money to go to who’s been serving me and speaking to me and my mother. I was so disappointed because my money went to someone that didn’t even introduce themselves then when I try to explain my concern the manager was very unprofessional and looked very mangy and his clothes were baggy as they sagged. He should not be representing this company whatsoever. The lady named Daisy was much more professional and attentive than he was and she was just a waitress. She was standing right there and seen he wasn’t addressing my concerns so she tried her best and found out who was training my waitress which I much more appreciated because she tried and was much more professional and welcoming if anything she should be management or at least a supervisor with who professional she was. It was very embarrassing and uncalled for. And I see why he said the manager was in the back because he definitely didn’t look like one, that isn’t how you represent a company. I then asked for the directors contact information, but instead he gave me the general manager as I will be reaching out to him. I will also be asking for the director information still because I want my concerns to be addressed. This Manager needs to be replaced. Even the waitresses were complaining about The manager before I even spoken to him. They said his demeanor is often inappropriate. He told me that he was going to do something about it I asked him what was he going to do… will my waitress get the money or my trainer he said that he was going to figure it out…that’s not enough I wanted to know exactly how he was going to find a solution..so unprofessional I’m highly disappointed and disgusted...
Read moreAfter much debate we decided to visit Boomerjack's for the Cowboys v Bears game. We wanted good food, which we got, and an exciting, fan based environment, which we also got. At about kickoff time, there was a lot of uncertainty. We sat on the patio. Some TV's were sitting at "Are you still watching?" Couple said "See you next Sunday" and a few had the start of the game on, but were all out of sync. Things did get resolved, so ok. I will preface this by saying that I understand it was a busy time and we did give grace, but...That'll come back around. We ordered our first round of drinks, 3 margaritas. 2 frozen, 1 on the rocks, with waters as well. The 2 frozen ones obviously sat at the bar a while judging by the liquid on the bottom. We all finished our margs. We also all finished our waters. We had placed our food order already and our food came out in a reasonable time, but none of us had anything to drik with our meal. We didn't see our server for at least 25 minutes at this point. 2 other servers brought our food to us. Finally flagged down another server to find ours. A few minutes later a different server came by. We placed a drink order and asked for more water. At this point my meal was consumed. We get our drinks. Finally our original server comes by asking if we need anything, one of us ordered another beer, knowing it would take time to actually get one. That beer would never come. In fact after about 15 minutes, my friend just went to the bar. When she returned, with beer in hand, our server showed up asking if we needed anything. I made a comment that we have resorted t going to the bar for our drinks and I'd like our checks. Now, I say that I understand it was busy. It was, but the place was not at capacity. Secondly, this is not Boomerjack's first season and they didn't know it would be busy. The bar seemed understaffed, but there were many servers walking around. In fact, I watched one server hit her tables near us about every 5-8 minutes. She stood out as she was the only one wearing pink in sea of blue and white. I don't know though. Do I expect too much from customer standpoint? In the entirety of the game, now this will sound like 1st world problems, but I only had 2 drinks and 2 waters the whole game. I watched more trays of shots going to a table near us. Will I go back? Not for gameday. For lunch? Possibly. Maybe I should have known our server wasn't going to care when one in our party commented on so many food choices on the menu and the server said her favorite was any of the...
Read moreI never write reviews. But, I felt the need to tonight. I love Boomer Jack's. Always have. And tonight the food was amazing, like always, but the service was greatly lacking. We were there at around 7:00pm. It was my first time visiting the Lincoln Square location and my daughter and boyfriend's first time ever going to any Boomer Jack's, and I was so disappointed. Our waitress was not very attentive and not really friendly at all. Perhaps she was having a bad day or something, but I felt very unwelcome. She was basically cordial and that's it. She barely even smiled. And she was short and quick about everything. We ordered a side for my grandson and it didn't come out until way after our food came out...it was forgotten about. And then when it did arrive, it wasn't even fully cooked...as if it was rushed. Then we asked about the drink specials and she was extremely short with us and quick to leave. And she never came back to our table to ask if we wanted to order any. We also had planned on ordering the s'mores but she never even asked if we wanted any dessert and made us feel as if she just wanted us to leave. Again, we don't know what was going on with her and we didn't want to jump straight to thinking she was just a horrible waitress. However, we did notice that she was more friendly and attentive to other tables, which was a little like a slap in the face. I really hope that this experience didn't taint my daughter and boyfriend's view of Boomer Jack's. But, the way you feel when you are a guest at and when you leave a restaurant is, most of the time, more important than the food. Making someone smile or laugh has more power than some people even realize. The customers are what make or break any establishment. And the way you treat them matters more...
