The food is excellent but the service is horrible. My wife and I went there on a friday night around 7pm, it took about 5 minutes just to sit down. They were extremely busy with just one server, probably the owner , waiting on ten tables. She never even came once to apologize for the long wait, after 20 minutes she finally takes our order. I cant eat sesame seeds or I will get extremely ill and I told the owner twice that I cant have seeds she acknowledge me but in an irritated way because i ask her twice. 45 minutes later she bring me my salmon with seeds all over. I told her I cant eat seeds and she told me i said sesame seed oil. Anyway she takes the food back and comes back out 5 minutes later with practically the same order but they removed the seeds because I still see seeds on my plate. I got frustrated and ate food. 1 hr 30 minutes for overpriced food with horrible service is the last straw I am not going back there. They also have dirt and cobwebs all over their ceiling which is scary if that dirt would land on...

In my opinion this is the one of the best sushi restaurants north of Clearview.

TIP: The menu is limited but the chef is very talented. I posted pictures of what I have tried so far. I don't recall ordering much if anything from the menu. I asked for chefs choice and told him I like spicy rolls. If you want the best experience sit at the bar and order the rolls I have listed or ask for the chefs specials.

Jay is the sushi chef he has a interesting history ask him to tell you about it.

The only negative thing I have to say is the second time I was there the table top was sticky. I'm not going too knock points off this as it is still a far better experience than the belt located about a mile from here. Plus I told his crew to clean it and the problem was solved.

Worth a try if you are in the area.

UPDATE: Weekends are busy, Jay is the only chef so if you go during rush hour I suggest you order everything you want all at once. Otherwise you could end up waiting a long time...

The food quality does not the justify the high prices -- and holy cow are they high. Buyer beware and look at the menu before going to the restaurant. Food...I ordered a California roll because it said "snow crab." I clarified that it was real crab and was told "yes." The roll came and it was crab stick. When I mentioned this to the sushi chef, he said it was "processed crab/kani." Kani is crab stick. Then I asked for a roll with just eel and avocado. The roll I received was the same California roll with a slab of unagi on top. I sent it back and was told they didn't make the roll I wanted. I pointed out that they had rice, unagi, avacado, and nori...couldn't they make the roll I wanted? Uh, no.

Service was fine and the atmosphere is a typical sushi place. However, the whole experience was disappointing and...

I can't say for flavor on the churashi dish as I didn't eat it.. 3 Thin slices of salmon, Tuna and another not so fancy fish and 2 shrimps on top of a scoop of rice for $40. Are you insane! Cause I am not. I have ordered this dish from many places and have never been served such a portion for that price.. I got told I should check the price.. welp, as I explained my issue was not the price but, what I received for the price. So I got told how long he's. Even making sushi. Welp, again what does that have to do with cost to product ratio? I then got told to check the price before ordering next time. There will definitely not be a second time. 35 min. Wait and this, No thank you. Burgers from next door will work.

Amazing!!!!! Hands down the best sushi we have ever had. Not only is the sushi incredible, the fish the freshest you’ve ever had but the chef is a wizard behind the bar. To sit and pick his brain with all of his experience, watch him craft his rolls, making the sauces from scratch; it was the greatest overall experience we have ever had at a sushi establishment. There’s history, love and passion behind this restaurant that you can clearly see upon entering and throughout the dining experience.
