Service was extremely rude. There was three of us that came to eat. The other two wanted to order all you can eat. Being that I don’t eat that much. I wanted to order by the pound so I could take some home So I can eat later. They charge $16.99 per pound . Then they did not allow the three of us to sit together. I had to sit at another table because I did not order all you can eat like my friends I also ordered no rice since I don’t eat rice. They put rice on my plate and charge me for it because it increased the weight of my plate One of the cooks that was preparing the meal was not wearing gloves. Even changed the garbage and then went back to cook meals with no gloves. The grill that they cook our food on is an eyesight of the guest . They were talking about me and pointing at me the whole time. One was afraid that I was going to get food from my friends’s plate to put in my box. So told me I had to have a bag. (she didn’t offer any other tables bags for their to go boxes) I didn’t want a bag. I told her not to worry I’m not going to take any of my friends food. When I went up to pay For my $35 box of food. I did mention next time can you please not include rice if I’m requesting it. She grabbed my box out of my hand. Opened it up to look inside. I asked for my box back. She was very rude about it. She then weighed my food again. not sure why she would weigh my food again. Unless she thought that I took food from my friend. which did not happen She had the nerve to tell me I was making a scene. I stated I was willing to pay for my food. I didn’t want the rice taken out of my box. It was just a simple request for next time.. once again, she tried to take my box from me to take the rice out. Told her not to touch my food. I also asked her if she could please make sure the cooks wear gloves. She said they do wear gloves. she told me that her cooks were wearing gloves So.I pointed to the cook that did not have gloves on. she asked him, and when he raised his hands. he had no gloves on. she proceeded to ask him if he was wearing gloves when he cooked my food and he said yes. Which was not the case I asked her to please charge me so I could leave. She kept arguing with me. I asked again. I wanna pay for my food so I can leave. She took my credit card ran my card then refused to give me back my credit card. I asked for my credit card back. She said no. I waited until my card was authorized.I signed the digital receipt. And she still refused to give me back my credit card stating that that signature was not good enough. Took out her phone to video me and I told her she did not have permission to video me and she said she was going to take my picture in case my credit card did not go through (once again, my card had already been authorized) Once again she told me I’m making a scene. I told her to give me back my credit card or we would have to call the police for her keeping my credit card. She finally gave it back to me and I left. It was terrible service. I do not recommend anyone to eat here especially if everyone at the table is not willing to do all you can eat because you cannot enjoy a meal with your...
Read moreI moved to Marysville a few years ago, and have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while, but never got around to it until now. Having come from Texas, I wanted to find a good Mongolian grill that could measure up to the Genghis Grill chain down south, but so far, the only good place I could find was the Mongolian Grill in Mukilteo.
We visited on a cold night in autumn, so the experience of piping hot, fresh comfort food was very welcome. The egg drop soup was warming, and I sipped on a steamy green/white tea. I ordered a udon bowl with shrimp, bacon, broccoli, tomato, onion, and baby corn; soy and garlic sauce. It was absolutely delicious, all the ingredients tasted very fresh. Brown rice was served on the side, and so was the Thai peanut sauce. So tasty!
The staff seemed very conscientious in the preparation and serving of the food. However, I do have a few suggestions for presentation.
They should install booths and hanging lamps for a cozier look. Since they're marketing hot and freshly-made food to-order, customers would love to go there for the comforting experience.
Unfortunately, they only serve sodas in bottles. While I'm sure it's more aligned with Covid-19 precautions, they should consider getting a fountain drink machine. They might also consider serving the tea in teapots, like Peking Palace down the road.
It was a pretty cold night, but they had the front door propped open. Maybe because they didn't want to sanitize after all the hands opening it? Not sure why, but it was very chilly in the restaurant. I'm glad I brought my jacket!
While I would like to think maybe these improvements are something they would consider working towards, I really do love the food and the service. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, the place seemed very clean. Thank you for a...
Read moreMe and my family came in for lunch on a Sunday, three people swarmed us, asking how old my kid is, and really made it clear that I had to pay for my three-year-old kid even after I said, “yes that’s fine”. Then when we paid for the all you can eat lunch. The lady came up and said please take small portions. (What’s the point of paying for all you can eat when they’re counting how much you put in your bowl) When I was filling up my plate, it seemed like they were watching how much I’m taking. It felt like a very greedy and stingy vibe very uncomfortable. When my food was getting cooked, the two cooks look like it’s their first time prepping the meal. One of the cooks even asked his coworkers “Does this look ready”. The food was OK. My noodles were undercooked but thankfully the chicken and beef was cooked through. The manager of the place was micromanaging everything around the restaurant. (my guess she’s the manager. That’s what it looked like) It was very uncomfortable, seeing her raise her voice on the employees for forgetting to ask if my wife wanted rice. One of the employees was spraying Windex over the meat to clean the glass that protects the food. The employee was cleaning the glass and moments later the manager came up, grabbed the employees hand and very rudely was showing the employee how to wipe the glass. overall, it was a very weird Mongolian grill experience. Nothing like I have ever been at before very abnormal Mongolian Grill.
I recommend getting a chef that knows what he’s doing to train the young guys. And the manager to build a team that she can trust and not micromanage everything in front of the customers. It makes a very tense culture inside the restaurant for the employees and for the customers. Gordon Ramsay needs to come into this kitchen and set everyone...
