Subject: Concern Regarding Discriminatory Treatment and Poor Customer Service
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express serious concerns regarding the treatment my partner received during two recent visits to your establishment. On both occasions, he ordered an 8-piece chicken meal and encountered unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from the front counter staff.
During his visit, the staff member informed him that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. However, after that time had already passed, the staff repeated the same timeframe in a dismissive tone, implying that my partner was unable to tell time.
This was not only condescending but also unnecessary. My partner is a highly educated individual, holding two master’s degrees and currently serving as an Assistant Vice President at a local bank. He had been considering placing a catering order of approximately 300 meals with your location, but due to the poor customer service, we have decided not to proceed.
More disturbingly, a comment was overheard from the front counter staff stating, “These Black people are impatient—it’s only chicken.” Such a statement is not only inappropriate but deeply offensive and discriminatory. Atlanta is a diverse city, and comments like these are unacceptable in any professional setting. My partner, who is Black and fluent in 10 languages, remained calm and respectful throughout the interaction, despite the clear disrespect shown to him.
Additionally, during a previous visit at 8:30 PM—well before your posted closing time of 9:00 PM—he was refused service for the same order. He returned the following day hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, the service was again substandard.
The quality of the food was average and comparable to what one might find at a grocery store deli. Given the experience, we would recommend alternative establishments such as Popeyes or Chick-Fil-A, where customer service and professionalism are consistently upheld. We hope you take this feedback seriously and address the behavior of your staff to ensure that all customers are treated with dignity...
Read moreThis newly opened bb.q Chicken location is absolutely spotless — from the restroom to the dining area, everything is super clean and well maintained. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, which really makes the whole experience enjoyable.
I’ve been to many other bb.q locations before, but you can really tell that the oil here is fresh and clean — the chicken tastes extra crispy and light. 🍗 There’s a paid parking lot right next to the restaurant, but the location is so convenient that it’s totally worth it. You can easily park, walk around the area, then come back for a meal — or grab a bite first and explore afterward.
Nothing beats freshly fried chicken — it’s always...
Read moreThis place needs to get its act together. It’s very confusing to walk in see a counter to order But have signage to ‘wait to be seated’. People expect service at the tables if they’re waiting to be seated and I witnessed 2 different table leave due to not being served. There are two booths occupied by managers or owners and they’re just ignoring the people coming in. The chicken is actually good and crispy and I got the spicy galbi and it’s got a good kick. Waffle fries are well done so I’m happy to come back for food if they can get the...
