Buffalo Bayou — Restaurant in Atlanta

Breakfast options are good; customizable sandwiches, quiche, avocado toast, fruit cup, breakfast parfait, etc. The location and patio seating make for a nice morning experience if you’re in Midtown. I will say, the coffees were not good, we got a mocha and in iced vanilla latte. Both tasted watery and bitter. This was our first time here so I’m not sure if this is how they always are. We liked the breakfast and ambiance enough that I think we would come back and try again, hoping for better coffee.

Updated: We did go back another time because there surprisingly aren't many coffee options on the weekends and this time our coffee was made by a young man and it was really good! This petite coffee stand, which harbors no indoor seating, boast one of the most impressive mid-last-century styled patios in the city. Get caffeinated in a lush canopy of shade as you are treated to a roadside people watching show on the curb of the most famous street in Georgia. Trust me... the show is benign, yet never dull- Rated PG-13. Meanwhile... inside the spotlight is on dip-drinks from a premium, local roasting house. The abridged menu covers all the stereotypical favorites with creative request entertained. There are also plenty of non-coffee based drinks and noteworthy pastries to pick from as well. In my estimation only two things prevent this place from shining... their closing time of 4pm and scarce parking. It is a grab-n-go coffee set up with no short term parking...

The five stars are for the coffee, price and staff. The best coffee in midtown, maybe in Atlanta, and the price is pretty reasonable. Decent selection of pastries and even sandwiches too. The staff is super nice. There’s lots of outdoor seating if you want to hang for a bit but probably not the best coffee spot to get work done as it is attached to (the beautiful) Georgian Terrace Hotel and WiFi is spotty.
