If you enjoy being scammed, ignored, and talked to like a burden instead of a paying customer( paying shading your own will, at that), this is the Planet Fitness for you. Iāve been trying to cancel my membership since October after moving out of state. Following their ridiculous policy, I mailed in not just one, but TWO cancellation requests. Both cancellation requests mysteriously ānever arrived,ā and every time I called, the manager was either ābusy,ā ānot available,ā or simply refused to come to the phone. When I finally got through to him weeks ago, he assured me heād cancel my membership over the phone that day. Which for one, if thatās an option, why are we making it so difficult for people? Because itās a scam? Right⦠And yet I was still just charged AGAIN. When I called back today to address it, he was dismissive, sarcastic, and flat out rude. His own employee confirmed my membership was only just canceled today, proving he never handled it when he claimed he did. I also just received the cancellation email TODAY, yet he kept insisting he did it days ago⦠right. And when I asked what could be done about the charge? āNothing is going to be done, maāam. I already tried to help you.ā If this is what Planet Fitness calls help Iād hate to see them neglect someone. At this point, Iād love to know if corporate endorses this level of incompetence or if this location is just special. But seeing as how when I asked how to contact cooperate or anyone above and was denied the info, I guess Iāll never know.
Update: As I review the email, the manager lied multiple times. It states my request of cancellation date was on 2/19/25( which is TODAY). It also states my last visit was on 2/08/25. Which is false and an attempt to validate charging me for yet another month. I moved out of state months ago and have not been back to Atlanta. I will be contacting my lawyer. I am a moral ethics obsessed person, when I see things that are wrong I have to announce it so that everybody can hear.
Nobody lunk alarms me, and I had no trouble canceling my membership.
But I don't take kindly to threats. Customer, client, employee, boss, executive.
I don't care where you stand. My quality of life should match any other persons.

It was two or three people huddled around one check in thing and she loudly suggested that I sign in where she was standing and where everyone was huddled. Of course I politely refused and told her that Iāll happily use the other sign in thing as that one she was hovering over was too crowed for. It has never happened before but I felt I should write about it. Iām a member just like everyone else and if and when I walk in , all I wish is to be is greeted kindly and left alone unless I reach out with a question or I express that I wish to purchase something. She was rude to me. I didnāt like her loud tone or her demeanor. Her kind of energy belongs in maybe a prison or jail but most definitely not at a front desk where courtesy is paramount. She made me not feel the PEACHTREE location. She made me feel unwelcomed as a guest and paying member. She is a liability to the company and the lifestyle. She needs to be counseled or replaced. I also didnāt like how untidy she appears to be but thatās a different story for a different time. Whoever management is should consider monitoring her closely or letting her go.
