This hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in many different cities throughout the United States. The quality of the ammentities and the prompt service i have always recieved is at the top of my list of upper end hotels. The price is not too expensive for what you get if you book the rooms through the right avenues like discount apps, bundle travel sites etc. Calling the hotel directly and asking for rates is not the right way to book cuz i saw their listed rates in the hotel lobby at 3 times more then the price i easily found by searching through 2 travel sites and combining with a flight. The downside in my opinion to this Atlanta downtown location was pretty much the location and the positioning of the entrance. It is right in the center of downtown and its kinda hard to navigate directly into the right drive or road to get in the place. I found myself right next to the hotel on 3 sides of it just driving next to the building and i could not see a proper entrance with a sign and a drive in or valet area , the out of nowhere a steep driveway pops up to your right without a clear description of where it leads and its so steep that i could not see what lies at the end of this drive way. It looked more like an entrance into a back garage for employees or maybe just for public parking but then all of a sudden i saw valet and a valet booth but still nothing that i would expect to be at the entrance of a high end hotel. So immediatly i was turned of by this one. also the valet entrance area turns out to be the only way into this place and you have to valet cuz theres no self park and on the streets surrounding it there are only crowded one way streets with minimal parking meters with time limits on them and hungry parking meter fairies eager to scratch a ticket to any expired meters. Then to get my car every time i had to go somewhere of just wanted to explore the ATL or get a bite to eat i waited over minutes each time for the crowded valet to get my car and i even called down early from the room as they recommended which either way i dont think they even started the process of looking for my car until i was down there in their face complaining already. there is no where to sit during this waiting period for your car except for like one or two ratty old wooden park benches that seat max of 3 people and its 2feet from the road that the over worked and confused valet drivers come speeding around the corner with each car and they were always confused as to which car they even had as they got out and attempted to offer this car to whoever was around there. i also wanna add that this garage area for valet stinks like a car repair shop, and the bench to sit and wait for your car seemed to also be the bench where hotel employess sit and smoke cigarettes and rap and shoot dice, atleast when i was there, it was. I didnt mind the gambling cuz i was able to make an extra bill while i was waiting . oh ya, you cant sit in the lobby to wait cuz it actually one floor up the stairs on the inside so you cant see your car. after writing this and my memory jogging i feel like i should lower this review to 3stars but the inside and my room and service did out weigh the valet experience so 4stars is fair. i would stay here everytime in atlanta if the location was near my...
Read moreWhere do I begin....... I will not be returning to this resturant it wasn't worth it. The decor is unique and reviews make you think you are in for a great time.
We went for a private party. Our friend reserved the private room in the back. One would think this means they would assign 2 waitresses since they were expecting 15 people, nope. They gave us one totally inexperienced waitress who wrote nothing down and could not remember anything down to bringing ice water.
Poorly trained staff who kept screwing up the food orders. Even after they were notified of a food allergy to diary they still made the dish with cheese all over it for our friend who was 9 months preggo. She could not eat it, it had to be remade. In the mean time she ordered plain fries to get her through until her new dish came. They never brought the plain fries.
No organized way of knowing who ordered what when food came out from kitchen. Servers were waling around aimlessly shoving food in your faces and handing it to you instead of placing it on the table Not fully prepared with enough dishes. Every time we ordered something if was we are out of that. They informed the birthday boy of a smoked fried chicken special after 3 ppl ordered it at 830 they were out of if.
4.Had items on their menu they were not currently serving Food takes long, a crab cake took 20 mins and it was an appetizer. Waitress do not pay attention to detail Manager not present to assist with issues. 8.Ladies restroom was disgusting. Water all over the floor and counter. Papers on the floor in stalls as well as out by sinks. Hair on the counters just a total turnoff. Brought food out with no silver wear, had to ask 3 times for this and napkins. 10.Bar does not carry cranberry juice. WHAT!
After all the confusion manager never came over once to apologize or offer a appetizer for the issues. Customer service is not their priority.
My cocktail was poorly made and if my husband didn't drink it would have gone back like my chicken under a brick meal that had no taste and was dry. The Mac and cheese though was awesome and my husband liked his...
Read moreNever ever ever again! My first time in ATL and i never would visit this place again. The reviews that are a couple months old are completely accurate. The racist hostess was rude and when approached about a situation she initiated she acted like it wasnt a bug deal. My friend and i witnessed her point at us and making an issue after she rudely asked for us not to eat our food from another place in there. My friend was told by a regular that she would be able to bring the food in which we did no problem and eat. If it was going to be an issue why allow people in with food? after I was approached by the hostess and told she could not eat I apologized. I am not from atlanta i am here celebrating my college graduation; as i stated i apologized and put the food my friend was eating away, 1 second later she was calling a 6pm man named mike who i assumed was a security guard; we witnessed her and him pointing at us so i called her over and asked what is the issue i explained that i had just did what she asked without a problem and she rudely responded i didnt snitch on on you what are you talking about and walked away check your cameras 5/22 at around 6pm-ish. My friend and i were upset because we spent about 3-400 dollars in there very early. Once the bartenders realized what was happening they decided to be just as rude. At this point i think it was because i wasnt white but that is my personal opinion and feeling because thats how they made my friend and I feel. Regardless to what we were respectful the entire time. I will be honest service from amanda was ok before the incident however afterwards it's completely ridiculous to treat someone who just tipped you 18% on top of gratuity rudely because I responded upset about how the hostess treated me (and i was only upset explaining to my friend what exactly happened) I know many people and it may not make a difference but i was there creating content for the small businesses on the inside of the building. My influence will reflect on this place and i will be posting the videos from the incident because i was recording at the time. Thank you for the...
