I had the salmon bites and got my fries with the cajun seasoning and shredded cheese. The food was alright, but not worth $20. The seasoning on the salmon bites was barely there, though I will say it was fried perfectly with a great crunch.
I got three sauces, ranch (which was on the watery side and wasn't the best), the sweet chili, and honey garlic. The last two were good.
My main problems come from the fact that the fries are not fresh, nor are they made in house. They come from a plastic bag in their onsite freezer. For a restaurant known for their fries, how could you not hand cut your own fries??
My second problem came from the man working when I came 10/16/25 around 7-8pm. He was despondent when taking my order, which was fine with me honestly, as he was quick and efficient (my customer service standards are low these days lol.) But later when I came to pick up my food, I noticed that he seemed to be arguing with someone over his headpiece/phone while he was ringing up another customer. Which is not only unprofessional, but was clearly making that customer uncomfortable. His negative attitude continued as he took the next guest's order, a mom and her kids, and she could clearly sense it as he took her order.
In the year of our Lord 2025, and as a gen-z myself, I don't expect gold star customer service from food places (I say this as someone currently in food service mind you.) But oh my God, the bar can't be this low.
Please retrain your staff, or have them hide their emotions better. Also frozen fries??? At a restaurant that specializes in fries??...
Read moreFry fanatics (like me), rejoice! This is your spot! Run, don't walk, to try it! Atlanta, you have a gem here. I was in the Food Works the day before getting something else but had to come back the next day to try this place. I was ready to come back the following day to try some more, that's how good What The Fry is. What more can you ask for? Great service. Great food. Hot fries cooked to order exactly how you'd like. I had the salmon bites and regular cut fries with garlic parm. I added the frozen Arnold Palmer. I enjoyed everything, including chatting with the folks working the stall. Really nice people. I even mentioned having Old Bay would take the salmon bites with the Franks & Butter sauce over the edge. And what do they have? Old Bay. (Cause I didn't think to bring mine from the car. Yes, I'm from Maryland.) The only downside: I don't live in Atlanta and didn't have a chance to try the other fry options. We could definitely use one (or more) in the food halls here in the Raleigh and Durham area. And their branding is spot on. I'll definitely be back when I return. Please give them your business, I know you'll be...
Read moreEvery time I say I’m going to stop listening to TikTok and trying places, this is the reason. Don’t believe the hype. I don’t understand the raving or the good reviews. I got the honey hot lemon pepper.. with sweet potato fries and my fiancé got the dry lemon pepper with chili cheese fries. When we went to pick up the order he said they were out of chili cheese (because he couldn’t find it??? and it would be refunded back to my card(it’s been 4 days and it hasn’t been)). Both of our wings were super dark oddly(see the photos). My wings were missing the honey and hot sauce flavors. The fries were good. The total was $47.91 and I left a 2 dollar tip. Super overpriced, disappointing and underwhelming. Will never return and will contact them about my...
