Saturday I had planned out to take my girlfriend out on a date so I did some research on a Mexican restaurant named ‘La Hacienda’ situated in a small hidden area in Atlanta. Very well taken care of restaurant and the food leaves you to wanting more the next time you visit. There are neighborhoods around and in front of that restaurant which is great for people that live in that area. They also have valet parking but it’s a small area that could get crowded but luckily we got parking on a Saturday night. I asked the valet if I could park my car on my own and he said yes but it would be five dollars I didn’t mind at all he was very friendly and respectful. As my girlfriend and I walked up to the entrance the waiters opened up for us like if we were important people. As you enter the place you are welcomed by every employee around you they give you a choice to sit inside or upstairs. Let me tell you it is such a great atmosphere to be around, they have a patio outside that is so well designed like no other its up top in the roof. Since it was a bit chilly Saturday night we chose to be seated inside. We were seated very quickly in less than a minute. Our waiter was really nice and gave us enough time to think about what to eat.As he came back with our drinks we asked what he would recommend us for appetizers. Jalapeño Cheese Dip, and Guacamole was what we took because he began to tell us many but those two caught our attention. The cheesy dip was so good I finished it in less than ten minutes. My girlfriend had to add a bit of salt on her guacamole, she said it needed a bit a flavor. Speaking about food the menu offers a wide selection of delicious Mexican food. From Tamales to Steak fajitas you can not go wrong with steak fajitas. I ordered steak and chicken fajitas with a side of rice and beans. My girlfriend got two tamales of chicken and a dipping sauce that had meat and cheese. Boy oh boy was our food amazing, our mouths dropped from how steamy our waiter brought the food. All the dishes were made fresh and clean it had the warmth of Mexico. Made me feel like I was actually in Mexico. The Chef take in action and actually take the time to cook your food as how you want it. Prices are not even high they are middle range prices and affordable. My check came out to being over forty dollars plus tip since our waiter was so respectful and very outgoing I gave him a good tip. Before we left he offered us drinks to go but we were so full we did not have any room for any liquid. To finish off, La Hacienda is by far the best Mexican restaurants you could go to in Atlanta. There service is outstanding and really helpful, they are really clean and have no flies inside nor outside the patio. Food is just too good to be true. They have a rating of a hundred percent in food inceptions. So how could you not trust this place to eat? To tell you I already have plans to come again next week to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Other than the parking lot, everything else was awesome. I would totally recommend you to come eat here and no other place in Atlanta when it comes to...
Read moreThey’re pretty much always consistent with takeout & dine in. Nice & fast service and good food. I’m mainly writing this review because I always order the seafood soup. By far my favorite soup in the city & very underrated but I honestly don’t mind because I like gatekeeping this one. It’s kind of pricey but worth it with the portion that they give and the crab cluster that comes in the side +chips&salsa. I pray they keep this consistent because it’s by far my favorite thing on the menu when it gets cold outside.
UPDATE:
I came in at 4pm on a slow weekday to dine in. I asked to sit outside. There were about two tables sat inside and one lady sat outside. She was dining alone, just like me, at a 4 top. The server walked me all the way to the corner at a two top directly in the sunlight. I asked if I could move over to the four top table instead for more room and the table had an umbrella. He told me no because that’s for larger parties. I ended up leaving because the server was just very short and rude to me and I didn’t feel comfortable dining there anymore. Although I could completely understand if it was a busy day THERE WERE BARELY ANY CUSTOMERS IN THERE & I was the only black person in there. This place had been on the news before for allegations about discrimination and adding gratuity only on tabs with black people and I’ve disregarded it because I’ve been a patron here for YEARS whether it was takeout or dine in & always had a good experience in the past. Sad to say I have not been back to this establishment & don’t think I’ll be returning even though I enjoyed their food and drinks but there’s way too many other Mexican restaurants in the city where I won’t feel like I’m being treated like a 2nd class citizen. I always tip even if it was a takeout order and I’m always polite. The servers attitude was extremely...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! You will regret it. It was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. The food was subpar, and the service was horrible. Our waiter Harold was lazy, rude, and kept rolling his eyes whenever he walked away and thought we weren’t looking. Our hostess, an older lady, was the only good thing about our experience, she moved chairs around for us and even got us to order chips and queso because she was friendly enough. Harold however first got angry when we all asked for water and no one ordered alcohol. He then took over an hour to take our first order. Never checked on us and always had an attitude whenever we did ask for anything like napkins or to go boxes or etc. We had a party of 5 people and one friend joined us 30min in so 6 total. Their menu states parties bigger than 6 will be on one check. When it was time to pay, Harold threw down one single check and left. Came back 35mins later, surprised that we all put down a card and asked him to separate the check. He huffed a complaint, said that it was too much work and he didn’t want to do it. So the pacifist in the group told him she would write everything out for him if he let her, so he begrudgingly let her and came back 30mins later to snatch up the cards in an annoyed manner. I wanted to leave sooner because I never stay where I feel unwelcome but the pacifist in our group was attempting to keep the peace for the sake of Harold’s check. (We’ve all had experience in the service industry and his behavior was unnecessary and appalling)
My food: We ordered two fajitas, one chicken and one shrimp, they skimped on the meat and gave skinny scraps of chicken, 5 shrimp, and mostly bell peppers. The food would only be good if you’re already drunk, literally...
