I keep finding excuses to swing by this little spot near Trader Joe’s and the BeltLine—been doing it for a couple of years now. The moment I step through the door, the staff calls out a hello that actually feels genuine, not scripted. It puts me in a good mood before I even look at the menu.

The food? Always solid. Big portions, full flavor, and prices that don’t make my wallet wince. I typically get the small poke bowl which comes out to 14.99 before tax but you can get unlimited of everything (except protein and base which is an extra charge). It’s cozy inside—soft lighting, calm vibe—so lingering over dinner feels natural. They’ve packed the place with Korean drinks and snack shelves, too, which means I usually leave with an extra can of something fun for later.

Ordering is a breeze thanks to the tablets up front and at every table. I tap in my usual, grab a cup of the free barley tea, maybe hit the fancy temperature-controlled water dispenser just because it’s there, and settle in. When the weather’s decent, I claim an outdoor seat and people-watch.

Best part: the bill never stings. Great value, great atmosphere, perfect pit stop after a run or a...

This place used to be a go-to for me, even as they transitioned from Poke City to Umma Kitchen...but they recently raised prices very steeply and nothing about the food has changed. A veggie bowl went from 11.99 to 14.99 starting price (which still has yet to be reflected on the website)...and it doesn't even come with any meat! I understand needs to raise prices with this economy but that steeply and that quickly has definitely turned me off from coming back--the total for my regular order went from around $13 to $18. There are other similar places with bigger portions/higher quality food for cheaper. Aside from that, the staff is very consistent and friendly, and the...

While visiting Piedmont Park, we stopped by Umma’s Kitchen and were instantly captivated by its charming cottage-core decor, complete with lanterns and market lights. We loved the convenience of ordering directly from our table without needing to go to the counter. We tried the spicy pork Korean barbecue bowl and the spicy tuna poke bowl—both were outstanding. The spicy pork bowl was perfectly seasoned with a tangy heat, and the charred vegetables and meat paired beautifully with the flavorful rice. The spicy tuna poke bowl was light, refreshing, and delightfully salad-like. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the excellent service, and the amazing food. We’ll definitely be...
