I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for what was to come.
The menu offered a delightful array of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes, each bursting with flavors that danced on my taste buds. The buttery chicken naan was the perfect accompaniment to start, and it set the tone for the rest of the meal.
I opted for the Lamb Rogan Josh medium spicy level, and it was a revelation. The tender lamb pieces, bathed in a luscious red sauce, were a symphony of spices that left me craving more. The chef's skill in balancing the spices was truly commendable.
The attentive staff added to the overall experience, providing excellent service without intruding on the dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations.
I cannot recommend this Indian restaurant highly enough. It's a culinary gem where passion for authentic flavors meets top-notch execution. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or new to its delights, this restaurant is sure to leave you with a lasting impression of India's rich and diverse...
Read moreCurrently claims to be dine-in, but this is not true. Carry-out/delivery only, but they do have an outdoor seating area which you can use if you bus yourself (no table service whatsoever). The interior is small but well-decorated and the staff were professional, courteous, and eager to please, so I can imagine that dining-in (when safe to do so) would be a delight.
Food was delicious. I ordered the Moglai curry (with chicken) and asked for it to be made spicy (it is creamy with little heat). They gave me a choice of medium or hot; I chose medium and it was the perfect heat. It came with basmati rice, which was cooked properly (not chewy; not mushy).
Also ordered their Bullet Naan, which was soft, dense, and flavorful; everything I would want from Naan. A full-size Naan is served (enough for 2).
The total for the curry and Naan was about $20, and it would have easily made a light-medium meal for two. In the end, I finished all of it in one night but it was essentially 2 meals (had to return to it later).
Great food, good service (from what I could tell since there isn’t table-service currently). Good ratio of cost to quantity and quality. Truly a “hole-in-the-wall” spot. Recommended. I...
Read moreIn the Atlanta area for a special occasion, stopped by Desi Spice Indian Cuisine which was in the area — technically in downtown Atlanta.
Group of five incl. family and relatives, got seating inside.
Here is what our group had: Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spicy) Chicken Tikka Biriyani (medium spicy) Goat Vindaloo (medium spicy)
All the food was really good here.
Rich, and flavorful dishes. Each with their unique taste and flavor.
Chicken Tikka is a bit on the sweetish side, so I recommend getting at least medium spicy.
We also got the Chicken Tikka Biriyani, rather than the normal Chicken one. It is the dish with rice, and was similarly pretty spot on.
Goat Vindaloo is flavorful, but a deeper, more refined kind of richness. It was also really good.
All in all, two excellent dishes, plenty of garlic naan and basmati rice to go around, and the only negative I found was the smallish quantities for curry (sauce) and pieces — sufficiently enough for five people to share, however.
All in all, this choice was a shot in the dark, but turned out to be really well in practice. Great flavors and quality of dishes here....
