Rose was such a professional under so much pressure. She did EVERYTHING right with so much going wrong, that was out of her hands. There was a technical issue w the Taps that caused them to be unresponsive. I was probably the first customer around lunch time on a Friday. I've been here many times before but I feel bad because this is my first review. Typically you can order food from this place and it comes from the pizza joint next door. Usually I enjoy drinking my beer from tap and I order pizza. Whatever you order is served at tap even though it may come from next door. When I walked in Rose let me know that she was updating the taps and that some of them might be out. Communication is key so I was very please with the proactive communication walking through the door. Eventually because of a technical error all of the taps were not working, she asked if I wanted a refund but I said no I'll just wait bc I enjoy their beer selection. Bros was on the phone communicating with someone and trying to get the tabs working as customers started to pour in. First, I didn't see anyone else here but eventually someone else came. Rose handled everything without skipping a beat. After a few unsuccessful tries and a couple of fuzzy pores Rose sorted it all out. When she noticed my beer was coming out foamy, I didn't have to say anything. She said that she will take care of that for me and my class was full of nothing but foam. It was nice that I didn't have to say anything or argue with her about the taps not working. Eventually she got them all working and as a look around for restaurant completely full I'm astonished that one person seated and served about 15 people without complaint. by the time more customers started pouring in she had sorted everything out and all of the tabs were working perfectly. I also observed her as she helped other customers and everyone was happy. Today, I'm a pretty causal black guy w backwards hat and workout tennis shoes. No Gucci, Loui, prada or hints of designer or money but she looked beyond my exterior into her self pride for her own business and delivered me service like I was Allen Brewster lol. No seriously, it's nice to see someone take pride in their level of service to everyone equally, professionally and in a superior fashion. Thank You Rose. This review was written without requests from anyone and on the spot while I'm here...
Read moreWalk in, say hi ( anything else is rude!) the person behind the counter will ask for your ID and a credit card then hand you a "VIP" badge. This badge will be scanned at the tap to track and charge you for your orders. While you can't use 1 badge for multiple people you can pay for multiple badges on 1 credit card.
As you approach the taps you will start to get a little gitty, well at least I did, then you will be stricken with panic... "do I remember how to pour a pint of beer?!" Don't worry you will be fine. If you press the icon of the beer logo above the tap a description of the beer will appear. If you press "beer please" a camera clicks on and you need to scan your badge in front of it. Then just start pouring...
I am giving Pour 5 stars because I like small amount of lots of different flavors. I love tapas and dim sum; My wife and I almost always get one of something, ok maybe 7, and split it. This way we gets lots of different flavors. Yes an average16oz pour will cost you about $10.50 and that's a little crazy. This concept is not for people who already have their fav. beer. Come here thinking flight of a bunch of beers, @ a few oz per pour, you have never tried before and you will leave happy.
It also works if you have friends in town and want them to try what Atlanta has to offer the craft beer scene. There was not an Atlanta beer that I could think of that did not have at least 4 offerings. I guess an other warning is that if you pound 5 pints an hr this place can get expensive quick. Although if you are that type of drinker you are used to large shocks at the end of the night.
There were a few dogs here and I brought my 1.5 year old and did not get any weird looks. Bike, rollerblade, walk, or jog because well YOU WILL...
Read moreI genuinely can’t remember the last time we received customer service so poor. I totally get that bars like this are busy on the weekend. We were waiting for a table nextdoor at Nina & Rafi and decided to get a few drinks. The staff at the counter were so unhelpful. We went to the back bar to try to place a food order and the woman glanced at the orders already placed, turned around, and said “Yeah we’re not taking orders at this time.” Lol it was 8:30pm on a Saturday….. When ended up finding a few barstools outside and the weather was nice so we enjoyed two rounds (self-service) and then after we had dinner next door we came back to close our tabs- walked up to the counter and the man literally looked at us and walked off to go chat with a server for a good five minutes. With probably a 5 person line behind us. We just made a joke of their customer service at this point, it was super clear they don’t care and definitely don’t care about tips. Kind of a shame because the location is awesome. Wish that we could take friends here in the future but will definitely venture down the Beltline to...
