I have to say my first time ordering food from there was a bit disappointing. I ordered a fritay platter and was charged $33 dollars for 4 Akra, 4 plantains, 4 sweet potatoes, and 4 marinade (which were the size of grapes), and a whole lot of salad (that i didn’t ask for). If I order fritay, I want fritay, i don’t wanna see salad in my plate. I think that’s their way to justify charging $33 which is ridiculous. In NY I can get a big platter of fritay for $18. Right in Cinnaminson, there’s another Haitian restaurant where I usually get a lot of fritay for less than $20 and it can feed 2 people. Please do better. I just left from there. When I went in I asked for 2 beef patties. The man looked at me confused then called the woman from the back and when she came up she made a gesture like “just give it to her” so I ask him if they’re old that’s why he called her over and he said no. So I took them, before I left I bit into one (which was cold and old btw) and it was chicken. So I go back up and tell him this is not chicken and he calls her back over for her to say “we’re out of beef” so I say why didn’t you just say that and proceeded to give them both back and took my money. Was there yesterday to order some Haitian food and food was delicious love it so much that I’m eating a little bit at a time since I live in MD Haitian restaurants are scarce. Will visit again the next time I’m in NJ.
