The manager specifically asked for a review in the middle of our meal. First off, you know what you’re getting with Margaritaville - corporate chain basic mostly-fried food, overpriced because it’s in a tourist spot, but my kids like it.
The pros -
Dominique the server was great, very friendly! She gave me enough time to figure out what the party of 4 wanted to order. Yes, I brought my children but we don’t order “kids’ meals” and instead share full size entrees, apps, sides and desserts. She also could answer questions about the menu and was attentive.
The nacho appetizer was legitimately 2-3 days worth of food with plenty of toppings and real cheese. Worth the $25 price tag for sure.
Crispy chicken wings. Maybe not worth $2/wing but again, tourist area. Jerk dipping sauce was fine for a bland American tastes, I would have liked some heat. Crispiness of the wings made up for blah sauce.
Burger arrived at the correct temp and the pickles were good.
The cons -
First cocktail arrived late with apologies that it was forgotten at the bar, paper straw had disintegrated into it, and ice was melted. A fresh drink should have been made at that point.
Side Caesar salad ($9) was tiny and sloppily thrown in the bowl (not tossed) with obviously canned dressing and cheap Parmesan, for the cost the dressing and cheese should have been better. Not worth it, disappointing.
Fries, macaroni & cheese, and desserts all pre-made/frozen/reheated. Expected quality but the price should match.
Here was the part that turned this from a 5-star review (commercial food as expected with very pleasant servers) to a 3-star. We had leftovers, two fully packed to-go boxes the kids would have finished later and saved me buying another overpriced meal. I asked the hostess for a bag, she went back to the kitchen to find one and apparently they don’t provide them or were out. I was not about to walk the AC Boardwalk with two overloaded boxes of food without a bag. Close to $200 for what was a mostly reheated hospital food, and in a tourist area the restaurant can’t even provide a plastic bag for take out?
So, leftovers went in the trash along with most of any value I saw in this meal. Penny-wise and pound-foolish on the part of...

I am beyond disappointed. I came here 5 years ago for my 25th birthday and it was my favorite part of the boardwalk. I couldn’t wait to come back. Finally I made my way back yesterday and planned to go for dinner.
We showed up at 6, there was a 30 minute way. Ok, that’s fine we can handle that. Hostess seemed annoyed to have to do her job and take our number but that’s ok, I guess we hoped the rest of the experience would be better. Boy were we wrong.
45 minutes later we have not been contacted for our table yet. We have a 5 year old who needed to eat so we sent someone in to check. When a the roll we were told they’d let us know. That answered nothing. About another 10 minutes later we got the text. Headed in and gave the hostess our name where she said it would be another 20 minutes as we could see 25 empty tables. This is where I started to get annoyed and let her know we wouldn’t be waiting any longer. They found us a table 2’ from the band, where we couldn’t conversate, think and put the kid instantly into tears.
One of us got up to ask about moving to another table as there were a dozen or so empty behind us or even outside. They were very clear we could not move and were not at all worried about us having a pleasant experience. Before we could even get that settled we witnessed a woman HOP out of her seat as a 3” long COCKROACH came off of her table, into her lap and then across the floor. Thankfully she made sure we were aware so we could pop up and move before it came running over our feet.
I have NEVER moved so fast out of an establishment, it was clesr they didn’t value the business anyway but after the bug situation that was it for us. Will absolutely never return. Sad, what was a fond memory for me became a nightmare. Took us another 1 hour to get our child fed. She was starving and miserable as we finally were served at HardRock
If I could give some advice it would be go...
Read moreI am writing to express my profound disappointment with the recent experience my family and I had at your Atlantic City location. Having visited the Margaritaville in Las Vegas several times and always having had phenomenal experiences, I expected a similar level of service and quality at your Atlantic City establishment. Unfortunately, this was far from the case.
After attending the Office Murder Mystery show, my family of six decided to dine at Margaritaville. We waited over an hour for our food, which is unacceptable by any standard. Despite our waitress reassuring us several times that our food was on its way, it did not arrive within a reasonable time frame. When I inquired again after about 40 minutes, the waitress curtly responded that she could not control what happens in the kitchen.
In an attempt to resolve the situation, I spoke to the manager, especially since several other groups who arrived after us received their food before us. The manager offered a simple apology, attributing the delay to a new kitchen staff. While I understand that new staff may require an adjustment period, this explanation did not address the inconvenience and frustration we experienced.
I felt that the least that could have been done was to provide us with an option during the mishap to decide if we wanted to continue waiting for our food. Instead, my family and I felt disregarded and unappreciated. The lack of a satisfactory response from management has led me to believe that this type of service might be the norm at this location.
As a result, I would not recommend this Margaritaville location to anyone visiting Atlantic City. I urge potential patrons to spend their money elsewhere, where they will be appreciated and receive timely service.
I hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to ensure that future customers do not experience the same level of...
