We stumbled upon Mukashi while waiting for a 9:30 PM show, and I’m so glad we gave it a try! We were so hungry we didn’t even wait to take photos of the food, but let me tell you—the sushi rolls were far better than I expected. They were absolutely exquisite, as were the homemade almond cookies we bought to-go. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Our server, Kenny, was a highlight of the experience. He was fun, sweet, and incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The overall vibe of the place was great, too. The unique designs throughout the restaurant gave it a cool, relaxed atmosphere that added to the experience. Mukashi is the kind of spot you might walk right past, but it’s definitely worth stopping in. The food is a solid 5/5, and the prices are incredibly affordable—especially for a place in Atlantic City. It hit the spot without breaking the bank, which is a rare find in a hotel setting! If I had to point out a negative, it would be the servers gathering at the front to get paid in full view of customers. It’s not the most professional look and would be better handled in a private area, but that’s a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Overall, Mukashi feels like a hidden gem—an overlooked treasure in A.C. for amazing food, affordability, and a great vibe. I highly recommend giving it a try!

The restaurant is located in the hotel, on the first floor, with access to the promenade. We really liked it, excellent service. The restaurant is clean, cozy inside, we sat by the panoramic window that looks out onto the promenade, this is the best place in the restaurant. We also liked all the dishes, I ordered soup with fish balls, a delicious broth with egg noodles and balls was excellent, light and filling, just right for a hot summer day. Chinese-style fried rice with shrimp and egg was also very tasty. I highly recommend this place and I don’t understand why the rating is so low, they

We stopped by for the happy hour. The beer was good as was the kani salad (which was not on the happy hour menu). The sushi roll we had was fine. The sausage and broccoli yakitori was disappointing, I was expecting some sort of sausage, instead I got a hot dog on a stick with broccoli. Service was super great. Maybe the main meals are better, I would go back to see if the dinners were better.

🍣 Mukashi Sushi Bar – A Hidden Gem in Resorts Casino, Atlantic City 🎰🔥

Step inside Resorts and discover Mukashi — where fresh fish, expert chefs, and a chill, modern vibe come together for a top-tier sushi experience.

🌟 We started with steamed edamame and a refreshing spicy salmon poke bowl with cucumber, avocado & sesame.

🍣 Then came the salmon & crab nigiri topped with roe — clean, buttery, and beautiful. The eel roll with spicy mayo was a flavor bomb!

🎌 Sit at the sushi bar and watch Chef Yoshi and the team hand-roll every order with focus and precision. Freshness and presentation are the name of the game.

✨ From the gold fan walls to the peaceful stone fountain, this place delivers in food and vibe.

Sushi was fresh and very filling along with all the other entrees we had. Only downside was most of the staff were seated across from us and watched us the ENTIRE time that we were eating... which I thought was weird. I don't want to pull the race card, however, one of my colleagues is a POC and the other is a Caucasian woman. Some of the staff kept coming up to us asking if we're okay and if we need anything. One even attempted to scrape my colleagues plate into the to-go container for her while standing at our table, which is sweet but wasn't necessary. If this is how they treat guests that are of different races, then I don't see this establishment thriving for much longer. Strange behavior...
