While spending the weekend at the Tropicana Casino & Resort with my Mom, we were looking for a “non-casino” breakfast option. By no stretch of the imagination would I consider myself cheap, however, I cannot justify spending $50 + for breakfast for (2) people; especially for sub-par food.
A quick Google search turned up Maria’s Luncheonette. We decided to be adventurous and give it a shot. A ride that took less than (5) minutes brought us to Maria’s; a small, quaint breakfast spot.
The menu was posted on the window outside and the prices and selections seemed reasonable. We went inside and the place was jumping, not a seat in the house. We put in our name and within 5 minutes we were seated. We ordered and within 5-7 minutes our food arrived and it was incredible looking.
My Mother and I were BEYOND pleased. The food was hot and fresh and the presentation was AMAZING!!
Additionally, the staff was pleasant and attentive. Refilling our drinks, and checking on us to see how our food tasted and if we needed anything else. I always love an opportunity to support small business and Maria’s officially has become our go-to spot for breakfast in Atlantic City!!!
RUN, don’t walk and get yourself a reasonable priced meal that gonna knock your socks off!

Read moreFirst time eating at this place we were looking for breakfast and found it. It's family owned which I liked. The place could use renovating/brighten up but it's spacious for the most part. Plenty of staff for a small spot, service was great besides forgetting to give us utensils and napkins till the food came but she remembered afterwards. The food was pretty good came quick. We had the corn beef hash, scramble eggs with toast. Corn beef hash was over fried to my liking would prefer it more wet but that's my preference. Eggs should be scrambled mixed into pieces instead of whole. Toast with butter was great. Western omelette was great. Bacon omelette was great. Side of bacon was nice and crispy. Home fries was good just needed some added salt/seasoning. I didn't like the bagel it wasn't a regular bagel normally served it tasted like a roll with cream cheese. Lemonade ordered should have came in a glass instead of being served in a bottle. Water should automatically be served with food but we had to ask. Coffee was good, but place needed sweet n low which wasn't available. Overall, pleasant. Maria the owner was nice as well. I would still recommend this place for others to eat,...

Upon arrival the restaurant was full, we were 8 people, at the entrance of the restaurant they told us there are tables at the back of the restaurant, we arrived and joined the tables and left space for people to circulate (upon arrival they only told us that there were tables in the back) but at that moment a staff came out of the kitchen and made a face of repudiation and disgust when he saw us, and murmured something while complaining, 5 minutes later a waiter arrived to serve us and told us that it was not possible (something which we understood) but we did tell him the terrible attitude that the other had Employee by preferring to put on a bad face and attitude before communicating that that could not be done.
This is the second time I go to this place because there are no good options in the area, the first time the attention was also terrible but it was during the summer and I thought that because of the number of people they were busy but this second visit showed me that their service is terrible along with a deficient and rude staff
The terrible attitude of your employees makes...
