Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Atlantic City

Hi, my name is Courtney and I just have to shine a bright ,positive light on this Ritas location in Atlantic City! I had a horrid, traumatic experience at the SHOWBOAT HOTEL! I was there celebrating my daughters 16th bday. Her and her friends room were burglarized! They took EVERYTHING! Over $3,000 of valuables! So safe to say we were having a very bad trip but still decided to make the best of it. My daughter and her friends had a portrait done of them and I left the portrait on the counter at Rita's! I didn't realize until the next day 8-22! Of course we felt like omg all these misfortunes just keep happening. Long story short I called the number on the receipt (good thing I keep those things lol) and a LOVELY woman by the name of Maria Froio who happens to be the owner answered and as I started to ask about the portrait she immediately knew what I was referring to and said "Yep! I have it ,it's here! I was soooo relieved, happy and estatic! Of course i told her about the experience. We stayed on the phone for a total 16 mins and 17secs! I'm getting emotional as I type. This stranger was a listening ear for me to vent to, kind, caring, empathetic, informative and soooo much more! She told me she was not in today however her husband was and he will be there when i pick up the portrait. We hung up with plans to meet up in the near future. No longer a stranger, just a beautiful spirited person I can't wait to meet! And next lol we went to pick up the portrait I asked for her husband Albert or Alfred (forgive me). He was just as nice and sweet!! I expressed to him how wonderful his wife is. He was empathetic as well and then offered my daughter and her friends free ices! My brother has Autism so he's very picky with foods and her husband allowed him to get a chocolate gelato!!! Thanks soo much for...

I’m truly disappointed with the services my young children received. My 11 yr old son had questions and my 13 yr old daughter decided not to get anything but paid for her brother. My daughter heard the cashier make a statement i which she took as racism. “ITS ALWAYS THESE KIND OF PEOPLE” not only did the cashier not deny the comment. She stated that the comment wasn’t meant for my daughter because she didn’t buy anything. I asked why would she make that statement regarding my son. She replied do you want to argue or just wait to speak with the manager. I don’t know what kind of people my 11 year old was or what she meant. I went there @12 june 26 2025. Enjoy the product and the service. I decided to return the next day @4:00-4:15 and the cashier with the rag on her head was snotty to say the least. Her customer service skills are in toilet. I can only imagine her off the clock and her co-worker thought she was funny. Smh. I walked the boardwalk from Ocean Casino in the rain only to regret my efforts. They left such a nasty taste in my mouth, I couldn't enjoy my Gelati.
