Tony Luke's — Restaurant in Atlantic City

I was hungry and craving one of their delicious pork sandwiches yesterday afternoon. I’m local so I usually call and place an order to pick up. It’s relatively fast (around 10 mins). However, yesterday I call to place an order and the phone rings 20-25 times. I hang up and try again (20-25 rings). I’m thinking this can’t be right but I have the phone # programmed so I know it’s correct but just to double check I go online and confirm that it is indeed the right #. I call again only to hear endless rings. I’m thinking there is no way they are this busy so I park 5 blocks from the Trop and walk to the restaurant. Sure enough not a single customer in sight. Not even at the pizza place across. So, I call while I am right there and sure enough I can hear the phone ringing but no one answers it. I step to the counter and sure enough a guy immediately emerges from the back to take my order. I didn’t even feel like it at this point because I was so hungry and I didn’t want my food tampered with so I just ordered, got the food and went away not inquiring about the phone situation. We all can draw our own conclusion on why the guy wasn’t answering but I can assure you that this place is LOSING A TON OF BUSINESS for antics like that. And with everything that’s going on you would think they would be going out of their way for business not trying to avoid it. If I call there again and they don’t answer you can be rest assured that I won’t be making the trip. Who wants to wait around as opposed to having it ready when you get there. This Tony lukes sucks! Run by foreigners who can barely understand you and dont follow directions! 3 strikes your out because my sandwich sucked because they didnt do it right! Tony my advice to you is that money isnt everything! Stop giving these foreign morons your business! They are ruining your reputation!!! I go to the one in Philly all the time and they rock! The Atlantic city one in Tropicana sucks tramaticly!!!

Update: came back tonight 9-15-17 and said it 5 times to the girl i want my cheese mixed in. She got mad at me. She said you said it 5 times and I said and yea Ive had 3 crappy cheese steaks because YOU DONT LISTEN OR RELAY THE MESSAGE TO THE COOK!!

NOT TO MENTION. WENT OUT TO SET OUT SIDE IN THE DINING AREA AND NOT ONE CLEAN TABLE. PLATES EVERYWHERE INCLUDING THE GROUND AND A PIGEON ENJOYING WHAT IT CAN. Just emailed the company per request today. Will update with results of 2nd try of location. Why this place is even open is beyond me....way beyond. We were looking for a place to eat and we walked up the walkway to the pizza place but that pizza looked dry like it had been out way too long so we tried this place. Big mistake! We saw all the signs about how great the Cheese-steaks were and thought they must be amazing. They were not. They were tasteless! Seriously,we had the onions and all. I even waited to put ketchup on them, t get the full taste of the flavor they intended. But after a couple of bites realized ketchup would be the ONLY flavor in these very expensive sandwiches!
