I went here for a meeting. Yeah. I know we're place for a meeting but I didn't pick it. I decided to get a "make your own" omelette. You choose what goes in it. I chose cheddar cheese, onion, tomato. White toast. Super simple right?
They got it wrong. I got cheese in my omelette. Thats it. Oh, I am sorry. I forgot there was one little piece of straight cubed ham. Blech!!! At first I wasn't going to say anything but then I got kind of annoyed by the one ham.
The waiter came over and I very nicely explained that I didn't have any onion or tomato like I had requested in my omelette. He got kind of annoyed and actually pulled out his ticket pad and look to see. I said I sure you that I told you I wanted a onion and tomato.
He actually asked me if I wanted them to remake it? But first oh, first... He asked me if I would like him to bring me a little plate of onions and tomatoes!!!! Cold onions and tomato. Uuuh...no thanks.
I asked him to take the toast back as well because it was not cooked at all. And when I say not at all I mean not at all. And I held it up so he could see the butter literally dripping off of it. It was completely soaked and soggy.
So he took it back and brought me back pretty dark toast which I'm fine with. I think he did it to be passive aggressive but he doesn't realize if I'm fine with a little extra dark on my toast. My omelette on the other hand had onion tomato and cheese. The problem is that it was on the inside just literally stuffed in there. The cheese was not in the least melted. I mean I could see that it was still cold and feel that it was still cold. How they accomplished says I do not know.
The waiter was actually pretty bad. I think he thinks he's a good waiter but he comes off as rushed and impatient.
I gave it two stars because the hostess that checked us out with super friendly. And also because I did see that what appeared to be a manager was walking around and dealing with other complaints, one at the table behind us. And it was a Saturday morning and they were kind of busy. Still, for $13 omelette, not acceptable.
I assume the manager was not aware of our issue because he never even looked our way.
I would say if you're thinking of going here, maybe pick...
Read moreWe went in this evening at 6:45. There was a sign on the door saying the restaurant would close early at 8 pm for “hood cleaning”. (Note to management most non restaurant workers will not know what this means, better to say “for maintenance”). We were greeted promptly, shown to a booth, and then left without a server greeting or taking a drink order for over 10 minuets. I was just about to walk out when a server turned and said “I’ll get you something to drink, but I’m going home so I don’t know who will take care of you”. She brought a soda, some coffee, and the most bitter tea I’ve ever had. We waited another ten minutes for a different server to arrive and take our order. She was sweet, and young, and obviously had just been thrown at us. But she did bring us food, was friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. So A plus for her, but for the rest of the staff, an F. I am usually very tolerant and forgiving in restaurants, I worked my way through six years of school as a server and bartender, so I have a great deal of empathy for the hard work of restaurant employees, however this was just unacceptable. Even if you are about to walk out the door, you never tell that to a guest, you great them, get them started then bring over the new server and introduce the server to the table and explain that the new server will be taking over, and wish the guest a pleasant experience. Bus people should NEVER sweep the floor under a guests feet! (Yes this did happen). Conversations about side work should not be held within hearing of guests, yes I’m speaking to you Mr. Manager. Maybe this was an off night, I don’t know but with the one notable exception this is a poorly run establishment with little to no training for the...
Read moreWe had the best time at this IHOP which I took my granddaughters to. We enjoyed our meal the waiter was great with everything once I got his attention.
The only two things I was a little disappointed in was the food one of my granddaughters ordered was a crepe with cinnamon and a glaze it was too sweet for her to eat and she love sweet things she stated way too much over drenched.
The other thing was once we got our bill never seen waiter again and had trouble getting his attention when we did for it was like we were invisible but once we got his attention he helped us out for I needed to order something for my granddaughter to eat first he brought out wrong thing which we paid for for we don't waste then he finally brought right thing out.
I guess I had a 3rd item I was disappointed in and that's what the bill ened up being with juice for 3 and 6 meals one from kids menu and it ran me over $95 dollars so won't be able to do this again. This also included the item I didn't order.
Food was good but not that much food for the money and one very disappointed granddaughters I figured once I said she couldn't eat tò sweet we needed to order something else they would take it off the check for she literally ate 2 maybe...
