FOOD ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disappointed in every way! NEVER WILL I EVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! Went twice last week. Wednesday the 26th and Saturday the 29th. Wednesday was good so I thought. Saturday when we went we were sold bad oysters 🦪 ordered twice because they had a special. Half dozen for $12 and dozen for $24. The first order had bacon šŸ„“ on it and I smelled something off but thought it was from the bacon and them burning the shells some from cooking. By the time I added the linen juice and hot sauce it hid the smell or something. I wish I would have thought clearly then but I didn’t. Mainly thrown off because the waitress asked if I wanted bacon on the oyster vs. the other day they didn’t. So I instantly thought the bacon made it smell from getting torched or something. Can’t see them cook like in New Orleans so I don’t know their process in their kitchen. We ate them and ordered more but this time without the bacon. Whew 😰 the smell was so horrible like cow poop or something strong and the lady at another table was talking about hers and how they smelled so horrible and she couldn’t eat them I instantly got sad and mad because I was thinking it was minor when it was definitely major and disgusting. The lady talking to her trying to say it’s nothing but took them back because she told her she can not eat that! And we called our waitress and informed her of the smell and her saying she can’t really smell because she’s there all the time. But that smell was not regular at! And the dead could definitely smell that! Well she went to someone that eat oysters to check them and they confirmed them to be off and spoke with the owner and we’re supposedly told to not serve more from that batch whatever that means. I wanted to throw up. We to rinse my mouth after spitting none stop. Queasy from the thought now and hoping to not get sick!!!!! Hopeful right!!! Well within the 24 hour mark I was having horrible abdominal discomfort and pain. Cramps worse than labor. TMI but Diarrhea :( I prayed on this situation to not make me too sick or have me down I have kids and can’t not be able. I thank God it wasn’t much worse but for 3 days sick sore cramps sharp pains in my stomach and constant bathroom visits!!!!!!! And to top it all off we had to pay for food that they knew was no good that’s the sad part of it all. Not that I have a problem paying for what I get but to know the food is/was bad and to just say sorry you feel bad but make us pay for spoiled oysters is awful! 3rd visit but by far the worst experience that day and I will never in my life go back because it could have been worse! Definitely should have been avoided but I see people really just don’t care! Make me wonder if that’s why they had the special to get rid of much as possible! I thought people keep the oysters alive to keep them fresh but now know to only stick to the places that do!!! (Hence ā€œDoc’s Porchsideā€) had went Friday and loved it. Go on the regular so tried to try again at this place but wish I stuck to what I know! Just hate the fact that I ate bad food! And just want to let people know to be watchful and know if they smell funny don’t eat because they are definitely bad! Oh yeah they waitress felt bad so discounted it some like!!! Okayyyyyy! NEVER AGAIN……… my 7 year old even was concerned and asked why did they give it to us bad she was worried and asked many questions when I got home worried about the risk of getting sick! Just be careful! They did a number that day and make me wonder but I just know it’s a NO for me! Oh yeah because I was looking for the picture because I alwaysssssss take pictures/videos and saw how they had more bacon pieces on this one compared to the other visit as well. And it was served on a drink carrier with paper liners!! Okay I’m done like...

We called ahead to inquire if they were dog friendly and they said they were. Upon arrival we didn’t see any outdoor seating however. Imagine our surprise when we were seated in a fully enclosed air conditioned patio. Major props for allowing dogs. The service was average but the server couldn’t answer basic menu questions like is the slaw vinegar or mayo based and whether their sauces and dressings were made in house. The food was ok. The cole slaw is very sweet. No one at the table cared for the skin on mayo based potato salad. The fries were crinkle- my favorite- but a missed opportunity as they weren’t seasoned at all. Some Old Bay on them would have been amazing. Beamies cocktail sauce tasted homemade with a delightful punchy kick of horseradish and the blue cheese dressing was quite good as well. We had fried pickles and they too were average. I’ve had better and worse. My plate ($25) was a bit small I felt. It was a combo shrimp & oyster plate. The shrimp were WAY overcooked as in tough and chewy. The oysters were so small they tasted like globs of breading and nothing else. I tasted a scallop off someone else’s plate and they were far from fresh. Definitely tasted off. Had it been my plate I would have sent it back. The breading was done while the scallops were wet as it completely came off the scallop in one piece. None of the fried food was seasoned. The side salad was a fresh mixed lettuce and that was a pleasant surprise as I’m not a fan of iceberg nor romaine. It was dressed w 2 grape tomatoes, a sprinkle of cheese and some haphazardly cut cucumbers. One issue that simply reflects poor management and indifferent ownership is the side area directly next to the patio where the employees gather to smoke. There were several blackened disgusting mops present and that was a HUGE turn off. Absolutely gross and I hope like hell they don’t use those but I’m betting they do. This restaurant would benefit from a visit from Robert Irvine. Lots of potential if anyone actually cared to make some simple...

First off let me start by saying my experience at Beamie’s was not how it was thought of going or planned on going! Ok so we were here for a bachelor party start of the night and I was w 3 other guys, real close friends. Brothers actually but, we ordered some mud bugs and a few rounds of beers and may I remind you that the whole time which was approx 1hr tops I didn’t have not one drop of alcohol. So that being said we go to order food and they out the order in and out comes the mud bugs and hush puppies and we’re waiting for the rest of our food and all of a sudden my brother the man of the hour ask for another drink and the Waitress said um...... I can’t give you any beer! I look back with confusion and say are you not old enough to serve alcohol and she says yes I am buy we have a 3 beer limit the bar tender won’t allow you to have 4 beers! Needless to say we didn’t receive all of our food ordered, we were getting the weirdest looks from the staff and honestly we wasn’t even being obnoxious or irrational. The service was ok but not the best by far! I’ve been to a lot of restaurants all over the US and this is by far the most disappointed and disrespected restaurant that I have ever stepped foot in and it will be the last time I ever step foot back in! I will never tell anyone to try Beamies. Also the restrooms are really small and not clean at the time we were visiting. Very very disappointed with the visit and will not return for another visit even if it was offered free. I was embarrassed by the way we were treated and I’m not that kind of person. I carry my self very well and professional as do the company that come with me! Was looking for a better...

OMG! I’m pregnant and have been craving Rockefeller oysters 2 weeks now! I’m also a foodie so I was determined to find the best this city had to offer. After much research and reading reviews I chose this place.I was a little shocked because downtown Augusta is way different from downtown Savannah but don’t be fooled because baaaaby let me tell you ….. if I had one word to describe their Rockefeller Oysters it would be ā€œORGASMā€!!!!! Yeeeees honey when I tell you they were the best I’ve had since I was first introduced to the them in 2016!!! They are soooo rich and full of flavor, I could taste every single ingredient!!!!! I will be back SOON! I also had a salad which was fresh and crisp with some of the best ranch dressing. Not sure if the dressing is housemate but it’s amazing. My only regret is I had a sweet tea before my salad and oysters were bung to me and I drank too much so I got full after only 4 oysters and half the salad. Also the atmosphere is mellow and chill, family friendly, date friendly, you can sit indoors but I sat outdoors by the sunlight. It was a nice experience. My server Gabriela was a sweetheart and very attentive and had a warm smile. The price was worth the quality. This is my new honey hole and the first of many to go on my YouTube channel !!!!!
