This place has a lot going for itself as one of the few nightclubs that caters to young black people and in a great location (right off broad street), but they definitely need to make some changes.
I was not impressed with the customer service or night life experience in general. See below for MY recent experience and feedback.
As a newer club on broad street during Masters week on a Saturday this place was pretty empty. I understand it was raining, but I was surprised to see very few people in there. I think this has a lot to do with my next point. Not much advertising or good PR on this club. I heard about this place from a friend. I had to do a lot of searching just to find a website (which has very little info) and an Instagram that just posts meaningless event flyers. They never post the crowd or videos of inside the club. I found two videos on tik tok to help me get a better idea of the setup inside. It’s unfortunate, it’s a nice place for Augusta but they need some PR assistance. I plan every detail because I want things to go smoothly when I host events for me and my friends, especially for MY birthday. I paid for a section a week or so in advance and requested a specific area only to find out when I arrived I could not have the section I requested because it was “another promoters birthday.” Like I previously mentioned, the place was pretty empty. Lastly, customer service was non-existent. No one came to our section when we arrived. I had to go to the bar to order shots. At least the bartender was super nice. Had to go get someone to bring us our bottle and order hookah - which took forever to get to us. No greeting from our hostess just “what bottle do you want?”
We then got the bottle but no juice, mixers, ice. Had to request that, which triggered another long wait. No acknowledgement of my birthday, no friendly questions such as “are we celebrating something?”, no offer to open the bottle and pour us some shots or mix drinks for us. I’m just not used to that. When I pre-pay for a section/service for my birthday, I expect to be greeted immediately and taken care of. I also tip very well for good service - never had the chance on Saturday.
Overall, we made the best of the night. The inside is decorated nicely and the dj was on point. This place has great potential and I love to support black businesses, but we were highly disappointed and won’t be back unless...
Read moreCame here on a Saturday night. The place was spacious with plenty of seating. The music was a vibe. The waitress was nice and helpful with the minor adjustments needed for the hookah. The drinks were also great. I would suggest they develop a digital menu for hookah and drinks. They also have a policy of paying for your hookah and drinks upfront, but I get it so no complaints. The owner also asked if we were good, which was great because a lot of times the owners only care about the dollar and not the customers. Overall it was a great night and I would definitely visit this lounge again.
The hookah was $35, Mixed drinks were $12, and the cover was $10. Parking was free...
