I'm from out of town and was staying at the convention center for one night and found myself craving a burger, so I started to browse what was in the area. Something about Farmhaus Burger spoke to me and so I headed over. I got a single patty (they are thin, which I actually love, so you might prefer double patties) with bacon and cheddar on a white bun. I was craving something very simple and basic, which let the quality of ingredients really shine through. The patty was perfectly cooked, great texture and just the right amount of fat that allowed a little grease to run out when taking a bite. Glorious. The bacon was also flawless (for my preference) with just the right amount of crunch and chew. It's super obvious that the ingredients are very fresh at this place. I like being able to order the food and then sit down, it ensures a quicker experience, but I still recommend tipping the person behind the counter. Toss 'em a couple extra bucks and they'll really go the extra mile for you. I'm forgetting the guy's name who I talked to but he was very friendly, knowledgeable about the business, and and great at his job. Oh and the fries. The fries were incredible. That's where some burger joints fall flat, but not this place. The fries are hot, crunchy, and seasoned just how I like it with pepper and salt. A bit rustic, but again that's how I prefer it. If I were a local I'd be in this place weekly. If you're looking for a great burger with fresh ingredients, look no further.

We were traveling through Augusta and stopped in for a bite to eat. There was a small line which is generally a good sign. I decided upon the Farmstyle Burger which is a Burger with a fried egg and smoked gouda with a side of fries and a sweet tea and my wife decided on the special which was the Venison Burger which was a venison patty with sautéed portwine cremini mushrooms, gruyere cheese and while grain mustard and she had the onion rings for her side and a sweet tea. We paid $40 with a $3 tip. We split our burgers and sides with each other. Both my wife and I agreed that the Farmstyle was much better than the Venison Burger. The Burgers were both cooked medium and both cooked perfectly. The smoked gouda flavor on the Farmstyle cut right through and was a fantastic complement to the rest of the Burger. The fries were handcut and were good. The onion rings were slightly undercooked and under-battered but overall ok....though there wasn't many of them...only 5. The Venison Burger was good but not overwhelmingly good. The port wine and mustard were overpowering which made it tough to taste the meat and mushrooms. The sweet tea was good. I'd give the the following ratings; Farmstyle Burger - 4.5 Venison Burger - 4 Fries - 4.4 Onion rings - 3.8 (due to being undercooked and lack of quantity) Tea - 4 Atmosphere - 4.5 Speed and friendliness of service - 4.25 Cleanliness - 4.5

I am somewhat uncertain about how to rate this eatery. 3.5 stars would be about right. This is really nothing more than an upscale fast food joint... with a bar. Upon entering you are met by a stand with menus. You decide what to order and walk up to the register in the back to order. You place your order, are given a number and told to find a seat. Your order is brought to you and when you are finished you bus your own table. I definitely over tipped. Anyway, I ordered a New Mexico burger and a Mocha shake. The shake has spiced rum in it along with pretty good ice cream and excellent chocolate syrup. It was thick and creamy with just the right amount of whipped cream... and served in a glass mason jar. I didn't taste any rum though. The burger was huge... two patties of very tasty beef and a mildly spicy mayo and peppers... along with lettuce and tomato. The locally baked roll was no match for the stuff inside. It quickly disintegrated into a sloppy mess. Good thing there was an entire roll of towels near by. Overall the flavor was pretty good... probably worth the $9.50. The shake though wasn't worth the $8.50. There are lots of choices on the menu and plenty of room in the dining room and at the bar. A fun place e to stop for a quick meal... aka upscale fast food.

UPDATE- I came back to edit my original review. Although I was shown poor customer service at the location downtown, another manager reached out to me and apologized for the experience. She was so kind and courteous, even went as far to addressing my concerns about their online ordering service and having it changed. She assured me they care about their customers and told me the next time I visit I’ll receive a free meal for my inconvenience. Because she took the time to reach out, I decided to update my review and will continue coming to farmhaus for their amazing burgers! I may have had one bad experience but the exceptional customer service I was shown after definitely made up for it. Thank you!

I placed an online order at 12pm and received a notification that'd it'd be ready in 30 minutes, I got there at 12:33 and it was busy which I understand but no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I told a guy at the counter, who was really nice, that'd I'd been waiting and he apologized because they had someone training, again, not a problem, but once it reached 12:45 I only had 15 minutes left for lunch. Finally once my food came out at 12:50, I was over it. I told them I wanted a refund and the manager tried to explain they only received my order 5 minutes ago because that's when I apparently checked in, and they were working on my fries....even though I'd been there over 20 minutes. It isn't my fault there were no employees to check in with...I left with my refund and no food. Won't EVER come to this location, again....

Great place to eat and enjoy. I've probably been 4-5 times since this location opened and have had 1 bad meal. Other than that, they've consistently hit the bar!

I can recall the first day they arrived in Augusta the gentleman behind the bar was so proud to recommend a meal to me. It made him giddy and excited to hear it was a great meal! Those little things are what go very far for me! To care about your work means something here.

Off to the review breakdown (Food, Service, Location, Experience):

Food - I'd have to give a 4. I realize some may believe I'm being picky off of one bad experience; but it's consistent on rush hours. Avoid the 12pm and 7pm rush to have the best. Mind you it's a really great burger, but to be truly great it needs to be consistently so.

Service - I can only talk about my experience with the bartenders. Everyone knows they need to make their tip, but they truly go above and beyond. They care about the food and want to make it a fun and creative experience for everyone. For that, they all get a 5!

Location - It's not the best accessible location (i.e. busy street where patrons aren't easily noticed). This has alot to do with the mountain feel of people rushing. Not the establishments fault, but precautions need to be set. For that a 3.

Experience - Overall the experience has always been a great one. You have a great place with fun staff happy to help. Couldn't ask for more. In my book,...
