My cousin (a Georgia native) spoke very highly of pizza joint so I was expecting an awesome meal. Well, unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. I don't want to say pizza joint is bad, but for my first time there, I was highly disappointed. I am in town for a couple days, visiting from California and wanted to like this place, however the experience this evening was pretty terrible. We came In Super hungry and got the worst waiter ever. A young guy with long hair, glasses and was wearing some kind of hippe, poncho, blanket thing. I had to ask him more than once to fill our drinks, (I had a hungry pregnant woman and 11 year old girl with me) he was so slow, lazy and unprofessional. I had to wait 40 minutes for our food to arrive after asking about it, the appetizer came with the food which clearly was sitting under a heat lamp for some time. When we received it, the food was definitely not fresh. I couldn't finish my food it because of the heat lamp and the soaked grease. The best part of the meal was the marinara sauce, coupled with the shaker parmesean, it was really good. The sweet tea was excellent as well. Eventually we called the manager over and explained the situation. Long story short he handled things for us.

Recommend: Trying the Mellow Mushroom which is a 3 min walk from this place. Summary: 1. Very poor value for the money paid! 2. Came here as suggested by a student, as we were driving through Augusta- but don’t have too many good things to say about the service (see cons below) Pros: Decent tasting pizza and calzone- reasonably priced. Courteous folks, with a hollow service! Cons: I came here at 830pm to order 2 pizzas and a calzone. The wait was 35 mins to get the food. So placed a to-go order, came back in 20 min after short walk. Asked for a beer and was told around 850pm that the last call had happened. Subsequently, around 855pm a, asked for sweet tea and was told they had poured it out. As we changed our mind and sat to eat, which the restaurant was aware, we were given plastic utensils to use- as opposed to proper silverware. Well, I know that this would be the last place I will stop by next time I visit Augusta. Leave it up to those who read my post. I tried to give a local business additional business, but they closed services even before their 9pm closing time. And were courteous with a hollow service and poor value for money🤔

Our waiter was awesome! I came in Halloween evening with daughter, grandkids, and their friends. My husband wasn’t with us but he ask me to bring home a supreme pizza for him and my son. Our waiter said he would wait to order it so it is fresh right before we left. We went right home and open the box to find the pizza was burnt and not eatable. I am so disappointed in staff and management at your downtown location. You tell me why I should ever eat at any Pizza joints locations??? Boy was I upset to see your restaurant would even send this home with us. I am furious that anyone with any dignity looking at this pizza would even be tempted to put it in a box and think it was okay!!!! This pizza is not suitable for a homeless person to eat . My family and friends have been a loyal customer for many years , so you need to make this right. I took pictures of pizza for you to see this disgusting food. Yours truly one dissatisfied customer, Lind Parker

I'm writing a review to clue potential job applicants into Pizza Joints premature and ridiculous employment process. I applied in person with Julia, one of the front-of-house managers - she was friendly and instructed me that I would hear from her that following Monday.

On Tuesday, I decided to call and check on the status of my application myself, Julia answered and informed me she'd like me to "interview" with Lacie, a long-time manager at this location, and I happily obliged.

Julia asked that I come in at 1 PM the next day to meet with her. When I arrived 15 minutes early, Lacie asked that I come back at 3 immediately - that they were in the middle of a lunch rush, I understood her reasonable request and left.

I came back just shy of 3 PM, to which Lacie got the attention of Joe, the KITCHEN STAFF MANAGER (I'm applying for a front-of-house position) to go sit down with me and "Interview" me. This "interview" was about three questions, all of which were regurgitated questions I had already done with Julia, this second interview was pointless and accomplished nothing.

I was told by Joe, that I'd probably hear from Julia no later than Friday, and he was right. She asked that I come in at 12:30 Saturday to proceed with getting copies of my personally identifiable information, I arrived at 12:33 and asked for her from the Staff positioned at the front.

Two minutes later Julia arrived and informed me I was voided the job opportunity because I was "LATE". I was told that this was treated as a first shift and it's more of a test of one's reliability.

To the Management team that reads this, this has to be a jest. How can you display such mediocre follow through with a person seeking an established role in your business, only to turn around and throw their effort and promptness in their face?

If I can be given the run around for a week and a half, be turned away at the door and rescheduled, and then given mock interviews with a manager not applicable to a position I applied for, SURELY you can look past 3...

Terrible service from our server Eryka! Bad vibes from her from the start…she tossed my straw down on the table, I didn’t say anything. There were two of us and she kept walking by us to serve other tables on both sides of us. She never checked on us to see if we needed/wanted anything else. My friend asked for a fork and knife because we’d eaten a salad before the pizza and her fork and knife were taken away with her empty salad bowl and she wanted a fork and knife for her pizza but instead of Eryka bringing it to her, she had the nerve to ask my friend did she not receive a fork and knife. In my mind, I’m thinking if she asked for a fork and knife, she must need it, regardless if she’d already received them or not. It took a long time for the salad to come out and the salad was small and it lived up to its name of being small but it was a big price of $5.99 and I picked out 4 brown pieces of lettuce. The pizza slices weren’t as big as I’d thought and they were burned, the crust on the bottom was very hard. We told Eryka they were burned and we’d like our slices cooked over, she said it would take 45 minutes. We questioned her about the time, she said she would go check to make sure and let us know. She never came back to the table to let us know anything and again and again, she kept walking by us, servicing the tables on both sides of us. My friend gets up (as we were both frustrated with the lack of service and communication from Eryka), and takes our pizza slices directly to the cook and he said it would be 15 minutes (big difference from 45). My friend gets back up to get our pizza and encounters Eryka. She explained to Eryka that she never came back to our table so she had to take our pizza slices back herself. Eryka has poor communication, is not friendly and picks and chooses who she wants to serve and it clearly wasn’t us. But there was another server who I noticed was doing an outstanding job, she even bought me more water because Eryka was ghost! I also did not care for the pizza, the sauce was...

Usually have good experiences. In fact, just two nights ago, Kristina was great. Today, Andrea was our server. We ordered our food, and most of our food came out in decent time. Andrea, however, would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. One member of our party (ironically, the one having her going away party) actually had to wait for her order for one and a half hours. That is absolutely no exaggeration. Andrea literally brought her the check before she got her food. She then said she would have that ONE part of the order comped... and I also talked to the manager about comping the one piece of Mediterranean pizza. We ended up waiting 20 minutes with our checks before I ended up walking into the store with all of our checks and catching Andrea and waiting for her by the computer to run our checks. Awesomely enough, the one order never got comped, and then Andrea managed to run the wrong check on the wrong card.

Every person in our party has been a server before, so we know crap happens. This was unacceptable though. Andrea never legitimately apologized and just kept blaming other people. Claimed they were super busy (it was a sunday, 4-5 servers on staff, and restaurant not even close to being full), then said the kitchen was backed up (guys in the kitchen looked fine). The Mediterranean slice was ordered at the same time as 2 Carnivore slices... yet we never got it until over an hour after getting the Carnivores.

Server was absolutely horrible. Manager didn't handle the situation like he said. Congrats on losing a decade long customer. Mellow Mushroom,...
