I came in late night and ordered the multigrain waffles, over medium eggs, sausage and fruit. Sausage was inedible but everything else was perfectly serviceable. The motel 6 next door shares parking lots and there were many sketch-tastic folks hanging out in and around their cars. A dude came in (drunk) and asked if he could use the restroom and proceeded to head into the men’s room. A minute later another man went into the restroom. When they exited, they were arguing and then it escalated to shouting and shoving. Then one guys friends came in and intimidated the drunk guy, and then all went to their car, but stayed parked. Drunk dudes friend came to talk sense into him, then they both left to get into a car. The shouting/cussing continued outside and I was afraid things could turn violent at any moment. I had to cut my breakfast short and ordered an Uber home thereafter. While waiting for said Uber, I was approached twice by two different men one after the other if I could hand them some money. Of course I didn’t want to engage so I quickly said that I am also financially struggling (factual) and I couldn’t spare any money. One man asked for a cigarette instead, and since I don’t smoke, I informed him that I didn’t have any. I was grateful for the bright lights that illuminated both the motel and Dennys and parking in between. From the unbothered expression of the Dennys staff I could discern that this was regular behavior among folks...
Read moreIt took me forever to pick what i wanted since everything looked pretty great, (plus i haven't been to a Dennys since earlier this year, so the menu had "new to me" stuff! ) but our waitress was really patient with us until i found the winner, Chicken fried beef steak with mashed potatoes (country gravy) & zucchini and yellow squash for the sides. And since it was available as a seasonal shake.. I also got a pumpkin pie spices shake :D The shake was reeeeeally good actually! The only other place I've had one from that made them not overly sweet (and WAS my #1 pumpkin pie shake, until Denny's version was Jack in the Box, beleive it or not!) both places versions weren't OVERLY pumpkin-y or sweetened with other things like..caramel drizzle let's say. (which is great, being a type 1 diabetic! It's not that i CAN'T eat things like this...it's that i have to know to get my shot ahead of time or before i start drinking something like this. Hoping there aren't "hidden" extras like caramel or other syrups that could cause me unknowingly need more insulin than i thought at first! :S ) ANYway, we had a good breakfast at lunchtime today..and thank everybody for the tasty foods, patience and for doing the dishes for us today! We'll be...
Read moreI came here with my partner in the early morning of December 19th and was exceptionally disappointed! This is my least favorite Denny's in town already, so i tempered my expectations.
We were seated promptly, but when we asked if we could substitute the meat sides with a veggie one, and were refused, despite every other Denny's in town providing this accommodation. I ordered hash browns on the side, no big deal, and our food was out quickly.
The quality was pretty standard for Denny's; the cooks got the food out quickly. However, 10 minutes into our meal, our server came and took our plates while we were still eating. Like, to put this in perspective, i had half of my sandwich left in my hands and most of an order of hash browns on my plate, and my partner had most of their eggs and french toast remaining. She came by while my mouth was full, asked, "Oh, were you not done with that?" as she started our plates.
We were appalled, but too tired to fight it much. This experience left us both pretty upset with this location, and we will not be returning. I hope management takes appropriate action to ensure this doesn't happen to...
